there is an air of Gerrard about him. Hopefully I dont jinx it but I remember SG at 18 or so (??) playing a game. Memory is fuzzy may have been an injury and he needed to cover at right back. He did with the same fervor he always displayed. I have never forgotten it - I thought at the time "this one will go places" the game itself was nondescript - just another game but you would not have guessed by his attitude in filling in at RB. Now I am not comparing the 2 directly just that their is an air of "special-ness" that TAA also have that says he can evolve in to something truly special for a really long time to come.
TAA is so awesome. He still gets undone now and again, wasn't great in the final for instance and United fans well know he can be suspect defensively sometimes (seems to be improving his consistency in this regard)... but yeah. He's going to be very, very good in just a little while. I hate that I love Rashford too, who warts and all is such a clear talent with so many tools. Reminds me a bit of an attacking version of Trent, just in terms of their general situations of being young, having so much room to improve, and having a real possibility to become club legends.
