Even though they're outside the "top 6," I'll expect top 6 form against them.

    here's my thing with everton...

I'm not from the city, i don't know any blues, i've only been following LFC since 1996, and we beat them most of the time. so everton are basically irrelevant to me. I don't even consider them a "rival".

I am amazed about how obsessed their fans are with LFC, however. i guess they are getting a new stadium, have some rich owner, and think we are worried about them overtaking us? apparently our "heads are falling off". hilarious.

everton to me are 4-6 points every season. that is all.

Coutinho, Firmino, Clyne, Lallana, Mignolet, Origi, Can. Woodburn and Wilson with Wales (lots of Ws there). TAA and Gomez with England youth teams. All I got off the top of my head

    True story

On my first visit driving to a game in Liverpool (pre-satnav, yes there wa's such a time when maps and readers digest atlases were the rage) I was lost and so I decided to ask for directions to Anfield from one of the locals...I came across an old fella, must have been in his 70s and so I asked him

'Please could you direct me to Anfield, I'm a bit lost?'

The chap responded in his broad scouse accent
' you're in Toxteth, you need to go towards Grove st then.....'

I suddenly blurted out inturupting the gentleman
' Toxteth eh? Robbie Fowlers from Toxteth'

If he was blue, I'm surprised he didn't send you on your way to Newcastle...unless perhaps there was a derby on at Anfield...

I read somewhere a few days back that Everton have the best record in the PL in 2017...I expect a good contest, but I expect three points for the Reds...

Expect Everton to be 'up for it' and the game will be another slobberknocker, played at 100 mph no doubt

Btw inturupting was a typo.....this new site is frustrating

and they are only -1 on goal difference with Arsenal...

They are also just six points behind us...certainly within the mix...

So the one good thing about the int'l break - it gives Henderson another week to heal - any update on him?

One of my best mates is a blue. Yep- two Sydney lads arguing over our love for our Liverpool based clubs is somewhat ironic, but he's such a bitter bitter person when they lose. :D

There are only two teams in the world of sport that I detest with that raw burning hate that springs from the fact that the teams in question are beyond the pale of maggotdom: The NY Yankees ( and that is an acquired disgust -- I. like most of my peers, was a Mickey Mantle fan ) and the Dallas Cowboys.

Somewhat ironic that the Cowboys' colors include a shade of blue not completely unlike that of the Toffees. The Yankees' website is mostly blue, as well, but their unis are that deplorable, smug pinstripe.

I realize that because of quirks of lineage and geography that there are perfectly decent people who like the Yankees and the Cowboys. I look upon them with sadness, that they have been seduced by circumstance.

The person mentioned above by myself is also a Cowboys fan. But in snoreball he goes for someone else I can't recall at the moment.

I have not been paying attention to Everton at all this year... I know Lukaku has been on fire but what else has contributed to their form? Has Schneiderlin strengthened them?

I also like Gueye... they seem to have decent options in midfield to be able to give Lukaku a chance to win matches.

    I'm getting nervous...

Not trying to jinx anything but I've never seen Liverpool lose in person -- 16 points from 6 matches. 14 goals scored, 1 conceded.

Lukaku is a monster, he'll give our CBs fits (any of them). Schneid and Gueye - plus Barkley from time to time - make up a very strong MF. but not better than ours.

I think the bitters do poorly against us so often coz they don't contain their emotions. But if they do they can cause us a lot of probs. On the upside, their fans won't allow them to park the bus so that will open ups some space.

Hate to say it but I smell a nasty draw.
