I think salah will come off the bench here. Solanke may get a start as well. Lallana as well. People may have forgotten about Origi - but I sure would have kept him over Solanke. Solanke needs more time - and Divock scored 10 goals a season for us. Hope he comes back. Will only be 23 in May.
Solanke has started less than 5 games. Like you said, Divock is 23 and would not have settled for such a limited role. If Sturridge was fit (yes, I know) there wouldn’t be a role for Solanke either. I think Klopp rates Solanke as a better prospect than Origi long term.
To me, Solanke has a lot of the basics of hold up play down that Origi struggled with. Once he gets his goal scoring confidence (at a senior level), he'll be a great player for us.
Klopp has said Solanke plays differently and better in training. He’s still young, so if Klopp is correct, Solanke has a big upside once he adapts to the Premiership.
So I think it’s time for the King of Egypt to rest Karius, TAA, Lovren, Klavan, Robertson, Can, Gini, Ox, Coutinho, Firmino, Mane. Play Mane on the right and Phil on the left with Ox as the point of a midfield triangle. The kid fullbacks can alternate attacking

Got to stop this habit of when we have an easy first half to think that the game is over. Put some schnapps in their cuppas. Or a boot up their collective bums.
Nervous about this one, just because the stakes are so high. With Spurs resurgent and Arsenal nipping at our heels, we absolutely cannot afford to drop more points in a match like this.
Yeah, must get 3 points today for all those reasons. I'm nervous 'cos every time I say that we drop 2 points. We went through a spell earlier when we scored a ton of goals in the second half. Then suddenly we started dropping goals after scoring them all in the first half. We need to get it right and just score the winning 3 goals in the last 15 minutes. Got to go to work for a while. Hope I'll be back by half time.
Joel Matip returns to the Liverpool starting line-up for this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Swansea City at Anfield. The defender makes his first appearance since November 29 after recovering from an adductor issue that had ruled him out of the Reds’ last six outings. Matip is one of four changes Jürgen Klopp makes as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also come back into the XI. Philippe Coutinho is captain. Liverpool: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Klavan, Robertson, Can, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coutinho, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Karius, Lovren, Gomez, Lallana, Mane, Milner, Solanke.
Mane left out again. Also interesting that Klopp keeps naming Coutinho captain when Hendo and Milner are not in the team.
Maybe he wants to keep having Coutinho stay accountable and put in man of the match performances? No idea really.
not surprised about Mane, he needs to clear his head. that lineup is surely good enough to beat the team that's bottom of the league. right? right???????
Finished my job in time. Now I'm ready. I've watch a few free kicks lately where the keeper has stood over one side of the goal and relied on the wall to cover the other side........ And failed. The one Burnley scored from 20 yards was one DeGea Would have saved easily without a wall. Just an observation.
