There were so many goals that the highlights on ESPN and other places started showing only 2 angles instead of all 5 angles for all the goals.
On the recorded version I watched (full game) they had to pick the goals to show at the end. They left out the penalty. Fantastic stuff all round ....
I know we have a big match coming up on Sunday. But I want to bask in the glow of this one for a bit longer.
I did something I never do last night, watched the whole match again. Funny thing, I wasn't nervous at all and really enjoyed it. I still wanted Studge to get one though.
Couple of interesting things. Two of our goals came off obvious handballs. Just wondered at the time, would the ref have awarded PKs had we missed. Or did he even notice? Juss wondering. Then early in the first half, Couts goes down and gets a free kick. The talking head mutters something about a clash of heads but what I saw was a bloody forearm chop to the throat. Incidental I guess!?
He was the best English striker at point and close to "world class". So unlucky with the injuries. Feel bad for him but his time at Liverpool is over .......
Yep, injuries have taken their toll on him. Studge should be in his prime at his current age but he's a shadow of the player we watched a few years ago.
I suppose that depends onwhether or not he might be content to play as a back-up. Given his injury rate that might actually be his best option. I'll take him and his shadow as a stop-gap over solanke or Ings any day....
