man! we are just demolishing teams right now... just imagine if we'd landed a new CB and Keita this summer.

This result was basically a foregone conclusion. We should have had 3 points in every match in the group. Domination, despite the three draws. Now bring on the big boys

    Agreed.

Not too big to start though, please... I'll take a Basel.

what to say? It was like Hoffenheim but with a clean sheet. We absolutely hit them with everything and didn't let up.

    Awesome result.

First time in the CL knockouts in 9(!!!) years.

Today's return to the knockout stages marks the end the legacy left by the Hicks & Gillet era.

not a bad display. a couple of times we kicked or headed the ball wrong, though -- so still work to do.

    FT 7-0 to Liverpool

MOTM is Coutinho with a hat trick and an all round fantastic game

Mane second with two goals and an assist.

Firmino could have been with his regular great center forward play and a goal

Or maybe Milner with three assists from fullback in one half

Or Salah who never quit, played for his teammates and got his goal late.

Danny Sturridge got an assist late.

Can and Gini dominated the midfield

Special notice to Gomez who was dominate at right back and then at center back.

Lovren and Klavan has little do defensively but made some fine attacking passes from deep.

Karius had some shaky moments but did enough

TAA did well in a cameo at right back.

We win the group. Have scored 12 goals in the last two games.

Among the unseeded teams the Reds could face are holders Real Madrid, five-time winners Bayern Munich and Italian champions Juventus.

They cannot face a team from the same country so will avoid Chelsea, and also cannot be drawn against Sevilla, who advance Group E as runners-up following a 1-1 draw with Maribor.

The other teams they could be paired with are Swiss club Basel, Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto.

As Much as We Diss Klopp for Ignoring the Defence,The Reason our Attacking Play is Clicking the way it is - Mo Salah!!!!!..Theres always an Element of Unpredictability(Which only Mane provided last Season) and our 'Fab Four' are as good as the most Vaunted Forward Lines in Europe.

Weed out the Brain Farts in the Defence and this Team can go A Long Long Long Way.

Wow! This was brutal stuff. Really was. I couldn't see the start of the match but, blow me a gale, the second half wasn't too shabby.

Big shout for Milner, he ain't no central midfieder, but on off the flanks he's consummate.

Look at Chelsea! PSG, Barca, or Besiktas -- that's like playing russian roulette with 4/6 chambers full.

since there are four english teams that cant play againt chelsea there is a big chance for us getting one of Basel, Shaktar or Real.

I missed most of the match due to being in class but checking my phone afterwards was a pleasant surprise. It was 5-0 by then and I got to see goals six and seven once I got home. I imagine most teams are dreading coming to Anfield at the moment.

Real is actually our most likely draw since they cant get Tottenham or Barca and the other teams having an increased chance to get Real have the same increased chance to get Sevilla.
