If you happen to get Milan in the final. Rope-a-dope in the first half. Let them eat spaghetti with wine to celebrate at half time. Then go for them..

Klopp could choose two totally different teams for Newcastle and Porto, and that would leave our players fresh for United the next weekend.

    For Newcastle:
    Karius
    TAA Lovren VVD Robertson
    Hendo
    Gini Ox
    Salah Firmino Mane
    For Porto:
    Karius
    Gomez Matip Klavan Moreno
    Can
    Lallana Milner
    Ings Solanke Woodburn
He probably won’t make that many changes, but a 5-0 puts in a great position to give a game to players who need it, and keep the squad fresh for the biggest league game of the season.

    Injury update from Klopp today.

Milner is nursing a knock and Gini is still recovering from illness. Emre is a yellow away from 2 game suspension, so I suspect he may on the bench to be sure he's available for Utd.

I'd expect Hendo and Ox for sure. Gini or Milner would be the obvious third if they recover in time. Throwing Lallana in there with Ox feels a bit soft defensively, but its Newcastle and I'd expect us to have a lot of the ball so perhaps it would work.

I was writing my team for the Porto game.
I think Newcastle we will be at near full strength. Proba Can and Hendo Gini. The Ox and Milner will play v Porto..........

Lallana and Ox would work in thi scase too I think. Also Milner isn't an ordinary human so he might play with a knock......

Cloudy cold. 30 may go up to 39.
Doesn't look like anything falling from the sky. But don't hold your breath.

he's a bit of a machine, is millie. hard as damn nails. he shrugs off tackles that would have many players rolling around for a week.

I almost had the team right. Can starts, not Gini.

    Karius
    Trent Lovren VVD Robertson
    Can Hendo Ox
    Salah Firmino Mane

Playing exactly how Newcastle would have wanted. Trying too much to depend on one player to produce the magic so far. Need to move the ball a lot more quickly.
