looks like Sarri will rest Hazard for their Europa game tonight to keep him fresh for Sunday. Damnit.
Hazard doesn't often have a good match against Liverpool... but he has had 2 good ones this season. Just win. Chelsea doesn't scare me and LFC have all the rest and should be ready to do the job.
What a Sunday it would be if City don’t beat Palace and we follow it with a win against Chelsea. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
This has crossed my mind - Anfield will know the score before kick off and will react accordingly Strange narrative here too of Palace away and Chelsea at home determining things on the same day for both us and City. If Palace don’t help us we still need to be as fired up and ready
the players will be at Anfield when the MC-CP game is being decided. I wonder if Klopp would prefer to shield them from knowing the score eg no cells, no tv in dressing room, etc? mind you I'm not sure which would be better - letting them know, or keeping it from them ..... although keeping it from them is probably close to impossible...... I'll stop now.
2 things Palace isn't as good at home as you would think. Citeh is throwing their best lineup, except for B. Silva, at Palace, so a draw would be peachy...
It's going to be a really interesting Sunday. If Citeh don't get all three points against Palace, I reckon we'll get a clear victory. On the other hand, if Palace don't get anything from their game and Chelsea score first...no, better to not even think about it. I don't know if I want it to be Sunday or Monday already
Think of the irony. Roy Hodgson can do more for Liverpool on Sunday versus City, than he ever did as Liverpool manager.
Just to have palace do the double against city while thrashing Chelsea on home soil would go a long way towards the promised land.
Liverpool make two changes for this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Chelsea at Anfield. Andy Robertson returns from suspension to replace James Milner, while Joel Matip is restored to the back four in place of Dejan Lovren. Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Keita, Henderson, Mane, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Mignolet, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Sturridge, Shaqiri, Origi.
Chelsea (4-3-3) Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, David Luiz, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek; Hudson-Odoi, Hazard, Willian. Substitutes: Caballero, Christensen, Barkley, Kovacic, Giroud, Pedro, Higuain.
It's unfortunate that Klopp has TAA and Matip to deal with Hazard. Other than that, the match-ups are great. Oh, to have a fit Joe Gomez...
