Yet you post the bold statement that contradicts Btw I never assumed to know you and can only comment on your post / read between the lines ....so far you're a regular stand up comedian with a dry sense of humour / repartee?
each of us has to decide whether the opinions of others carry the sort of weight that makes them worthy of serious consideration or maybe it's just blowing smoke. i have a couple of buddies who can recite the offensive line players for most of the NFL football teams. i'm lucky if i can keep track of running backs. as far as association football goes, i'm just a spectator. i have no idea how old you are, but if you're under 40, as i said, i've been watching the sport for much longer than you've been able to feed yourself. that doesn't make me an expert, and i wouldn't be able to tell you whether a 4-3-3 is a better alignment against WHU than a 4-4-2, but i enjoy the game as much as anyone can who's never played. the "minimally informed" comment was intentionally self-deprecating. it was a "i'm not an expert, but i play one on TV" kind of thing.
Duh ( assuming that is the appropriate and accurate 'word' in reply to part of your post wherein you state the bleeding obvious ?) BTW, you may have been watching sport (pro wresting ain't no sport chaps) for a long time and this not an expert make, it does however enable one to regurgitate facts previously stated
I'm with @newterp, you seem to have underestimated your capacity to drag this out. We could put you on ignore for a couple summer weeks and still find you beating this horse upon your release from poster jail.
Not to sidetrack the row, but it's worth mentioning that our 76 pts is the highest point total ever for a 4th place team. What that means that is this season was the most competitive season in EPL history. 76 pts in previous seasons would have gotten 2nd or 3rd. Big credit to Klopp and the lads for quite an achievement under some difficult circumstances.
Tbh the bar has been raised this season, the water mark is a little bit higher than before....and I'm sure the trend will continue next season
I noted that as well - does this mean that the gap is widening between the top of the table and the bottom? Leicester, and what they did last season is really remarkable!
There's only a finite number of points available, so it must mean a mini-breakaway by the Top 4 or Top 6.
Which to me is interesting because it seemed like a lot of the bottom half teams were getting points from top teams. That feeling could be skewed by the LFC perspective
