Check this out too and it'll tell you where the broadcast towers are and how far you are from them... https://antennaweb.org/Address Over 100 miles is rough but there are some heavy-duty antennas that should do it.
Curious - what service are people using to watch LFC? are you happy with it" and how much you paying each month? I "cut the cord" about a year ago...and started using Sling TV - it works most of the time, but there are days that it is frustrating and I just watch a little circle spin around as it tries to load...my home wifi is not the best, but it works most of the time. I pay about $30 a month for Sling (with a "recording" add-on) and about $60 a month for a landline and internet access... I don't get many of the other stations that broadcast games outside of NBC...but I make a date for CL games at the local pub or a nearby restaurant...
That is heavy duty. "Install antenna 30' above ground" I'll check the thrift store to see if they have something simple that might work. Otherwise I'll try and make head or tail of the match comments. "Wow! that was shit" wonder what that meant. Hmm I forgot to push the go button couple of hours back.
Cut the cord 2 years ago and wish I would've done it years before. I've got DirecTV Now (errr...I think the evil empire at ATT changed the name the other day) and I basically only use it for sports that are on "cable" channels. Everything else I stream on demand via the other sources or watch the local channels via an antenna. Run the whole thing through a Roku player with direct ethernet connection from my router. Think the DirecTV Now is like $48/month (includes HBO). Internet is Spectrum cable (still waiting on ATT to run fiber at my property) but it's pretty quick. Usually costs about $50/month after taxes. They're trying to jack it up again, so I need to call them and threaten to cancel .
I had the same antenna issue in Washington state - if you can't get the antenna to a height that will pick up local station signals its not worth the money trying. Even the more expensive powered antennas won't help. Just simple physics - the signals won't go through hills.
We pay $50/month for our PS Vue package and $50/month for internet through Comcast. No complaints with PS Vue - I can access programs on multiple devices simultaneously, which means that my wife, daughter, and I can all be watching different programming. It has DVR capability. PS Vue works on our Windows and Mac laptops, iPads, Android and iOS phones, and Roku. Works with Chromecast, too, I believe, but I haven't tried it recently. Because PS Vue is from Sony, it does not work on our Xbox One S. We subscribe to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu. We will likely drop Hulu at the end of the year. We got a 99 cents/month deal for Hulu for 12 months that ends in December. We don't use it enough to justify the standard cost. Also, we use a Mohu Leaf 50 indoor amplified HD antenna. In our area, PS Vue does not have broadcast agreements with the local NBC station, so I use the OTA signal for that. In fact I use the OTA signal for all the local channels (Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, etc.) because Comcast caps my monthly data at 1TB. The cap has never been a problem, but I use the "data-free" OTA option when feasible.
YouTube TV. 50/month and I split with multiple people. Includes a lot of what I used to get for... 100+ a month in regular cable. Only thing missing is beIN, so it's hard to follow the Spanish league.
Ugh, I know. It's quite tempting. Maybe too tempting to refuse. One nice thing about all these services is the ease of canceling and resubbing without needing to call customer service.
yes, plus running water and traffic lights !! sorry - couldn't resist. not sure if you're being serious though ,,,,, we get all the major US networks via local Buffalo stations. I'm watching CNN at the moment.
You've put traffic signals in up there in The Great White North??? Wow, progress never stops does it.
yeah, all we need now is to convert them from gas to that "electricity" stuff. that might take a while though.
well you don't need to actually visit - just drive to the border, drop off your $$$$ then drive home. that'll work for us.

At least it isn't gold, or ESPN+ I still internally crack up thinking about everyone complaining when games would be on fox sports plus with that photo when I hear people say something-"plus", like espn-"plus"
ESPN+ is the best $6 in sports TV right now (expecting it to go up by double any day now). NBC Gold...woof. Hope we're on there the bare minimum this season. We should be as we're basically going to be must-see-TV in England and that largely dictates what NBCSN shows.
my tv listing shows Newcy game is on NBC (regular NBC that is) ... at 1230EST .. is this an error or is it being shown delayed?
