Hey have any of you guys taken part in these LFC International Academy camps? My son and I saw some ads alongside the road while we were driving home yesterday. Apparently the MI chapter is holding open training, tryouts, and summer camps here in the Ann Arbor area. Wondering if anyone has any experience with these, and the quality of coaching etc. associated with them? Little Bubba would probably be in the U10 age group if he participated in anything.
First preseason friendly is a mere 2 days away - @ Tranmere on July 12 - 2:45pm E - likely on LFC TV only.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Egypt international Mohamed Salahwon’t be available for the club’s first pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers due to immigration rules. The 25-year-old winger is required to exit the country and return in order to finalise his work permit, as part of a standard immigration procedure. This means he’ll be denied the chance to make his debut for the Reds during their first pre-season friendly at Prenton Park. It’s unclear whether the issue will be resolved before Liverpool’s second pre-season friendly against Wigan Athletic on Friday. If not, he’ll have to wait to Crystal Palace’s game on July 19 in Premier League Asia Trophy that will take place in Hong Kong. “Mo Salah is here in training but cannot play because of the rules, so that’s what we have to accept,” Klopp told Liverpool official website. “We will try to get the working permission or the visa, I’m not sure what it is we need to get but we have to go to Paris and leave him there for a day or two and then he’ll come back. We are hopeful he can play soon,” Klopp added.
What a life. Mo, you've been here for a few days now, so go to Paris for a couple days, we'll pay for it, have a little break, then come back and settle back in.
damn right. got to keep Tranmere in their place. could be season-defining, this game. biggest of the season so far, without a doubt.
#LFC first-half XI: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lucas, Milner, Henderson, Grujic, Wijnaldum, Ojo, Firmino, Sturridge #LFC second-half XI: Karius, Clyne, Gomez, Klavan, Flanagan, Stewart, Chirivella, Woodburn, Markovic, Kent, Solanke
Given that the first half team is clearly the first choice players, its very interested that Alexander-Arnold is selected ahead of Clyne. Also Ojo gets to play with the first team when he is strongly linked to a loan move.
