Hi it seems some countries in the world are naturalizing players from other countries. And it seems Asia is one of the fans of naturalizing players. Here is the list of naturalized players in Asia, it is not a complete list but if you have any other players that is not on the list please let me now. Thanks. Brunei : Hammid Alan Virkov (Ukraine) Darul Yuriry (Russia) Boris Nafal (Serbia) Chinese Taipe: Xavier Chen (Belgium) Indonesia : Christian Gonzales (Uruguay) Ruben Wuarbanaran (Holland) Diego Michels (Holland) Kim Jeffry Kurniawan (Germany) Japan : Wagner Lopes (Brazil) Rui Ramos (Brazil) Alex dos Santos (Brazil) Singapore: Egmar Goncalves (Brazil) John Wilkinson (England) Daniel Bennet (England) Itimi dickson (Nigeria) Mustafic Fachrudin (Bosnia) Precious Emujeraye (Nigeria) Agu Casmir (Nigeria) Alexander Duric (Australia) Qiu Li (China) Shi Jiayi (China) Vietnam: Huynh Kesley (Kesley Alves) Brazil Nguyen Rogerio (Rogerio Pereira) Brazil Dinh Hoang La (Mykola Lytovka) Ukraine Hoang Vissai (Dio Preye) Nigeria Nguyen Hoang Helio (Helio da Silva) Brazil Phan Van Santos (Fabio Santos) Brazil Dinh Hoang Max (Maxwell Eyerakpo) Nigeria Le Van Tan (Jonathan Quartey) Ghana Le Tostao (Tostao Kwashi)Zimbabwe Tran Le Martin (Ronald Martin) Uganda Phan Le Issac (Isaac Mulyanga) Uganda Le Trung Son (Jefferson Valentim) Marcelo Barbieri (Brazil) Wandwasi Rodgers (Uganda) Thierry Ngale (Cameroon) Amaobi Uzowuru (Nigeria)
+ Tadanari Lee (Korea) - Winning goalscorer at the 2011 Asian Cup final. Mike Havenaar (Netherlands) - Called up to full NT training session last month. Nikki Havenaar (Netherlands) - Currently plays for U-17 side. Sergio Escudero (Argentina) - Former U-23 internationalist.
two questions are you talking only about capped players? if not then South Korea Dzenan Radoncic (Montenegro) and.. as for the Havenaars they were born in Japan so I don't think they'd be considered as naturalized as they were Japanese by birth?
Peter Laeng, born in Switzerland has played for Thailand, now on the fringes of the squad, his mother is Thai. After being called into the Thai squad after playing in Europe he moved to Thailand. It's almost like he got called up because he was a European, but he's no better than the current crop.
No, I am also need the list of uncapped players. About Havenaars....if they were Japanese by birth then I don't think we should considered them as Naturalized players.
Qatar Naturalized players : BRAZIL Marcio Emerson Marcone Fábio César GHANA George Kwasi GUINEA Daniel Gouma IRAQ Ali Mejbel KUWAIT Talal Al-Bloushi Wesam Rizik SAUDI ARABIA Mohamed Saqr Majdi Siddiq Saad Al Shammari SENEGAL Qasem Burhan Abdulla Koni URUGUAY Sebastián Soria YEMEN Mesaad Al-Hamad
http://sports.media.daum.net/soccer...cateid=1172&newsid=20111210090704940&p=poctan He may join the Korea NT till the Kuwait game. I have a mixed feeling about this. Radoncic is a good player but he didn't grow up in Korea.
Want to add more : Jhonny Van Beukering (Holland) Tonnie Cussel Lilipaly (Holland) Greg Nwokolo (Nigeria) Victor Igbonefo (Nigeria) Serginho Van Dijk (Holland) and Joey Suk (Holland) will have their Indonesian citizenship at the end of this year
Actually he lived in Korea for 7 years and speaks better Korean than some of the BSK members here combined. Also I don't think Radoncic would get a lot of playing though.
Its very funny how Vietnam manages to give all its naturalized players very Vietnamese sounding names. As Russel Peters would say "Yes that definitely looks like a ......... "(fill in the blank)
It's not really funny, it's just the culture. If your going to be Vietnamese then you need to be Vietnamese in every way.
Qatar is a club (with no foreign limit obviously) , not a national team. I'm not sure how many actual Qataris play for the team.
All foreign players who play in Hong Kong are also given Cantonese names. These names tend to stick with them for the rest of their HK careers, for some even when they play for HK national team. Godfred Karikari = Go Fan Christian Annan = An Kei Si Jaimes McKee = Mac Kei Wisdom Fofo = For Fu
Qatar should not be allowed to have a national team as majority of their population are not even Qatari. When Qatar has only 13% percent Qatari's im not sure how it is truly a "national team". It will be funny when in 2022 all their players names are Sebastian and Dioko they will be ridiculed on the world stage.
Qatar is just an immigrant nation like America or France. Many Iranians seem to be jealous of Qatar because nobody wants to work or live in Iran.
