Time for a new thread! The draw for the 2019/20 season is about to begin. This will also serve to award trophies to the best players of the previous season.

Aside from the Braga game in week 2, we need to accumulate as much points as we can. January is a scary month for us.

Its still a tough start, Maritimo away is always a problem. But your right that January is gonna be make or break for us again

January killed our title hopes last year (although we did win a cup). We lost games against the likes of Moreirense and Guimaraes if I recall. This year we're gonna have 2 derbies in close proximity that month plus games every 3 days again. It's so important to have squad depth so we can rotate players.

Anyone else feeling confident for this one? Yeah, me neither...

Hopefully we see some changes. I think we might start with a 4-3-3. Bruno was playing from the left last game but he needs to play in the middle, he's a playmaker. Doumbia is suspended so I think Eduardo will start, and Dost dropped for Phellype:

Lineup looks good. Thierry and Mathieu need to do much better than they've shown recently.

Bit worried about the fan support for this game. Already lookin like it might get ugly.

There was graffiti outside the walls of the academy saying 'Zero Tolerance' but theres been additional police patrols outside the academy. Highly doubt anything happens again. It happens, especially after a 5-0 defeat to your rival.

As for Thierry and Mathieu - Rosier started training 100% again and I hope we see him soon but I think Thierry will still start. Mathieu had that mistake but I'm still more worried about Coates.

    Starting XI:

    Renan
    Thierry Correia, Coates, Mathieu, Borja
    Eduardo, Wendel, Bruno Fernandes
    Acuña, Raphinha, Luiz Phellype

Exactly as I predicted. Can I be manager?

Was a quick run down the left from a ball over the top, Maritimo striker alone in the centre running in and a tap in at the back post.

Google "Sport TV 1 Portugal Stream", first link works, it's not the highest resolution but it's watchable even on a TV.

Bruno Fernandes has been a beast so far. Nice header from Coates. 1-1

We're all over Martimo right now. 2nd goal seems imminent. Raphinha should have buried that ughh

Failing to make any of our chances count and now Maritimo are getting a bit of confidence at times. We've been saved by the post

We should have a 2nd goal, but we're lucky enough that they haven't scored either. Too many mistakes. We cough up the ball too easy at times.

Jesus, raphinha has absolutely no luck today. Nothing is going his way. He could have 3 goals today
