http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...y-feilhaber-though-playmaker-really-happy-spo For the second time in four years, Sporting Kansas City midfield ace Benny Feilhaber has sparked some interest in Mexico's Liga MX, MLSsoccer.com has learned. Sources close to Mexico City powerhouse Club América tell MLSsoccer.com that the 11-time Mexican first-division champs are among three teams south of the border that have made inquiries about the 29-year-old. Another Mexican source indicated that local rivals Cruz Azul, who chased the US midfielder to no avail after his fine showing at the 2010 World Cup, are again asking about his availability.
I think he should go to a lower - mid table Bundesliga club so he can develop at a high level while he is still young.... I'm just thinking out loud here but what about a club like Hamburger SV? They had a down year but they are historically comfortably mid-table and they could use a box to box guy like Benny... Idk what do yall think?
I think he should get on the 405, drive up to Westwood, walk right past Pauley and onto the field and tell them he wants to be a Bruin. I bet they'll take him. Who needs recruiting!
I think he should TURN LEFT at the mystical river (turn to page 42) and then FIGHT THE DRAGON who appears (turn to page 16).
I think this season is the last of his 4-year contract that he signed after coming to MLS from Denmark. It pays him ~ $340K/guaranteed. He's 29, so Liga MX might help him retire with some comfort. Club America can certainly handle a lot more than $340K/Y.
On his blog, Seltzer said he still has 1 more option that KC holds. http://www.noshortcorners.com/2014/06/tuesday-goodie-1.html

The defending Israeli champions are seeking to bolster their roster as they enter Europa League group stage play for the first time.
http://www.espnfc.us/sporting-kansa...anced-discussions-for-sporting-kc-exit-source Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber is in "advanced discussions" towards signing a pre-contract with a club outside of MLS, according to a source with knowledge of the negotiations. Feilhaber's contract with SKC expires at the end of the current MLS season. Feilhaber can sign a pre-contract with any club since he is in last six months of his contract.
Maybe his agent can extract $7m/year from a Chinese Super League club this way: Hey, I have a Brazilian attacking midfielder available on a free transfer this winter! He has 41 international caps and World Cup experience! What's more, he's eligible for a passport from an Asian country, so he can fit into your extra foreign slot for the league and the Asian CL! Who knows, maybe some Chinese GM will sign the contract before realizing that Benny didn't play for Brazil and Israel isn't in the AFC
Israel or Mexico would be great. I think id slightly prefer mexico, maybe Benny could get some of that latin flair while hes there, lol
On November 30, 2006, he turned down an offer from Andreas Herzog to play for Austria and said that he would instead focus on earning a place on the U.S. national team.[17] I totally did not know this. (as per wiki) Best of luck to Benny, was one of my favorite players from 06-10.
He played quite well in the 2010 WC. Shame he couldn't get a move other than his club in Denmark that was in the 2nd division at the time
Benny Feilhaber saga is so brutal. Should've started every single game (yes instead of MB) of the past 5 years
