Interview: https://sbisoccer.com/2019/10/licha...premier-league-promotion-as-hull-city-captain “It’s a huge honor to be able to captain a club here in England, it means a lot to me,” Lichaj said. This is the first time I’ve been named captain prior to the season beginning so that is special. It’s a big honor, sometimes I am saying prematch words to the team in the huddle. Just the way I am, I don’t change who I am I try to continue to do the best on and off the pitch.”

I finally got a chance to finish the match between two of my favorite YA's. I thought Lichaj was really good. Most teams have been picking on Hull's left side but today Fulham went right at Lichaj and he was beaten once early but settled in and looked really good throughout the rest of the match. Fulham attacking down his side allowed the LB, Elder, to get forward with great effect and he had a nice assist. Hull moved into the top half of the table and things are so crowded that they are three points out of the playoffs but also three points from dropping to 16th! I did not think Ream had a very good game. I read Fulham was maybe not at full-strength bit they just never seemed to settle in. Ream was beaten pretty badly for either the first or second goal. He wasn't the problem but never got much of a chance to try and pick Hull apart with his passing. Fun game all in all.

They lost to Leeds in Elland Road 2-0, but gave them a good battle. Lichaj getting some fan praise, too. Leeds managed their usual 68% possession at home.
It's a shame he was often overlooked. Even if he only brought depth to the squad, he'd have been useful in that role for the team. Probably gonna end up being our field player with the most Championship appearances.

Lichaj fouls Mount cynically and receives a yellow. Chelsea score on the ensuing set piece. Not the greatest stretch for a team captain
