I don’t know if it’s like that. I’m sure Darikwa is pretty athletic. One of the aspects of Lichaj’s game that has been a weakness for awhile is lateral quickness. He can get going forward with a runway, but I can see him being an easy snub if you are tactically trying for something else.
FA Cup goal of the year: Congrats to @EricLichaj - whose goal v Arsenal has been voted as the best in the FA Cup this season...#nffc #arsenal You can watch it (for the 487th time!!) here...https://t.co/SMnBFFu0yh— BBC Nottingham Sport (@BBCRNS) May 21, 2018
Snip: A clutch of Championship clubs are interested in signing Eric Lichaj this summer – while the Nottingham Forest defender is also attracting attention from the MLS. Hull, Bolton, Bristol City and QPR are all understood to be keen on the American defender, who is entering into the final year of his contract at the City Ground. While newly relegated Stoke City could join the race for his signature, with Gary Rowett – who is expected to be confirmed as their new manager at any time – also said to be an admirer of Lichaj’s qualities. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-bolton-bristol-city-qpr-1596548
Moving to Hull City? http://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-t...nced-talks-to-land-usmnts-eric-lichaj-sources The 29-year-old, who started for the U.S. in last month's friendly with Bolivia, is in search of regular first-team football, and sources said Hull are in advanced talks with Forest over a deal for Lichaj and are confident of agreeing a deal for the Chicago-born defender. Lichaj has made 190 appearances for Forest since joining the club on a free transfer from Aston Villa in the summer of 2013 and is a big fans' favourite at the club. Forest signed him to a new deal in January to ensure he could not leave for free this summer.
I really don't get why Nottingham haven't extended his contract. He's a good player and the fans love him and his wages aren't that expensive. Plus, his competition isn't like miles better than him.
We will see if Lichaj can live up to the high standards that the great American Hull players before him have set.
Snip: It is understood the Tigers have made an offer for Lichaj, but with a deal yet to be done, it would appear to have fallen short of Forest’s valuation of the player. The Reds are believed to want in the region of £400,000 for the full-back. https://www.nottinghampost.com/spor...ransfer-fee-sticking-point-nottingham-1693927
Considering how much $$$$ there is in England, kinda annoying such small figures get delayed due to penny pinching.

There is a much better chance he gets promoted with Hull than there was at Forest. They were relegated to purgatory there. Hull had a down season but they've been much more of a yo-yo club in the last decade.

I have to admit, if I was Eric I would prefer to be actively playing in the Championship versus spot play in the EPL (if the pay was equivalent)
