@Mengão86 That must have been brutal on your nerves. The first two Var decisions were absolutely disgusting. I can live with the 1st one but that 2nd one was onside.
Not to mention we gifted the goal to them by not getting the ball out of bounds. We were easily the better team on the night. Grêmio improved in the first two minutes of the second half but never did I feel like they were the better team. We should have left POA with a better result.
Finally a Libertadores final. Honestly was looking like I wouldn’t see one in my lifetime. Let’s see if we can put away a good River side on neutral ground.
I was way too young to remember the first one but I have no doubt this one could be much more of a classic.
Typical sore loser attitude from him. That is the problem with these "falastroes" -- they talk, talk and talk and when they don't back it up, it's a boat load of excuses.
@Mengão86, congrats indeed. Your team was better and it has reached the final with total justice. I do remember the last one. I'll never forget a Cobreloa player walking on the back of a fallen Flamengo player. Thankfully Zico and company got the job done. I'm a São Paulo fan but that Flamengo team, along with Telê Santana's Brazil, filled my heart with joy when I as a boy first began to watch soccer. Bring it home.
Flights to Santiago from the usa are a horrific. price even out of miami. I wasn't planning on going but I would be tempted if it was reasonable.
Not a PK for me. Dragged his leg and barely any contact. I might think differently if you get one like that vs River though.
SMH Nunes ... "if Flamengo plays 70% they will beat River." @6:10 Petkovic had to hold back a bunch here. @Mengão86
You should see the debate PVC was involved with at Fox Sports yesterday. I don't think there is anybody worse on TV than Benjamin Back.
@Mengão86 The Brazilian website Trivela has a story with various newspaper clippings from right before and right after Flamengo met and defeated Cobreloa 38 years ago. This is priceless stuff; you definitely want to take a look. Bring the caneco to Rio. It would be amazing if it Flamengo not only won the Libertadores but went to the CWC for what could be another confrontation with Liverpool.
Not sure how to feel other than anxious. Been waiting for this moment my whole life and as good as things are going now, I don’t know when we will return.
One game final might be better for Flamengo . Takes away the pressure of choking against an Argentinian team at home. I’d like to see Flamemgo win. I want to go against a Brazilian team in A Liberta final if it’s corinthians and maybe São Paulo .
I dont really agree. 2 or 3 months ago i saw a lot of the media praising river plate to an exagerrated degree. Flamengo should win this game it is good to be modest but this is an obrigação for me. 70/30 flamengo.
Yeah, my gut says we should win, but I’ve been burned way too many times before to have a strong feeling in the Libertadores.
