Is that new Brazilian tourney going to play on libertadores dates? I'd assume they'd have to. I can't say that's a good thing.

Puebla vs Racing in first round is going to be great.

Crazy, cuz majority of the Mexicans on this site are already writing Puebla off. Might be cuz Puebla is a relatively small team even by Mexican standards compared to Racing.

btw I dig the Corinthians draw.. we couldn't ask for an easier draw than the one I see before my very own eyes.

Racing are favorites but I doubt it will be that easy, unless Puebla field a weakened team.

Universidad César Vallejo will be São Paulo's first test this year. It's a good thing we settle the playoff at Morumbi.

If I'm Tite I may think about not coaching in these libertadores, I wouldn't hold it against him. If they lose Gil or Elias it's game over, it' d be impossible to replace either after losing jadson and Renato augusto.

São Paulo wins, 1-0 against Cesar Vallejo. We will have Trujillanos, the altitude of Bolivia (The Strongest) and the defending champions River Plate in our group.

Sao Paolo looking like complete garbage but they have a ton of foreigners on the pitch so I must be overreacting...

The amount Sao Paolo lost the ball in the center circle was shocking, I can't imagine what would have happened if they played a better team. Ganso wasn't even bad , he made one of the best passes you'll ever see but it was wasted. Calleri is straight up garbage btw.

Not good performances from the Brazilians teams in the first round. Some were able to scrap out wins, but they did not play well.

A win is a win. I'll take it even if it's ugly.

Must be nice to be an atletico fan or Diego Aguirre, this team is stacked.

Pretty much the same as atletico's performance tonight. Cazares, Rafael Carioca and junior urso(off the bench) were pretty impressive to me but everyone else was pretty much meh.

Based on the highlights I saw of Liga's victory against San Lorenzo, you were right. Morales was solid.

Grêmio will definitely have its work cut out this year. Not any less than my São Paulo will, though - I'm not very optimistic regarding the upcoming visit to River Plate.

I'm pretty sure Santa Fe gets at least a draw against Corinthians tonight. Even though Corinthians won against mogi in the last minute I would be extremly concerned with that performance.

The plan is to limp out of this group, then get btfo in the next round.

Fagner must be driving tite wild. He gave the ball away in terrible positions at least 3 times.

Limping is a good way to describe it.
Giovanni Augusto is looking really good the two times I've seen him with Corinthians but you guys need more punch on that end for sure.

Grêmio with an easy victory over Liga de Quito. The first goal included improvisation after a fumbled pass and quick reflexes. After Liga had a player ejected, Grêmio knew it was going to win.

As for San Lorenzo, they had a lot of work with an insistent Toluca. Toluca had a lot of great passing, and San Lorenzo is still winless in this Libertadores. If they want to advance, they need to turn things around fast.
