Well, since that FC Dallas has seemingly given up wearing hoops (along with the uniqueness within MLS they provided) in order to adopt yet another plain red shirt [huh?], maybe our "thinking" is that these hoops are a way of re-differentiating DCU, given that half the league has stolen the quasi-all-black look that used to be ours.
Intersting to note: the eagle embedded in the new #DCU jersey necktape looks like the #OLDDCU, not the #NewDCU. pic.twitter.com/HiUTVcIshA— Pablo Iglesias Maurer (@MLSist) February 6, 2016
The old logo on the tape was pointed out to me after I bought mine, thus making it extra-collector-y The tape being oddly cut didn't really affect very many of the shirts I saw to be honest, but I'm not turning down my free one in July I think mine says ion Taxation Without Representation Taxation Not sure how it could be cut "properly" and still cover the entire collar area, maybe more dead space or just a shorter cut. As for the event, the lines to get in were MUCH better than last year, the store was bigger and laid out better - but those lines were still very long (though they actually moved this year). The beer choices were much worse.
I'm coming around to the idea of not being "United" anymore. Any suggestions to replace? It will suck but I don't want to be associated with Minnesota, Atlanta or any other damn United. James
Fuck that shit. We were here first. They're stealing our shine, and I'll be damned if we change our name or colors for any new-jack scum club. We're the Osiris of this shit.
Not a fan of the name but the Stadium is in Council district 9. I would prefer Expo Park Ultras, Olympic Ultras, Prawns. James
I would have thought that as one of the leaders of the group you could have had more sway on the outcome.
In case you want to feel like you're doing something "I just signed the petition, "Don Garber: Allow Minnesota United FC to keep their name or make Atlanta United FC change theirs.." I think this is important. Will you sign it too? Here's the link: https://www.change.org/p/don-garber-allow-minnesota-united-fc-to-keep-their-name-or-make-atlanta-united-fc-change-theirs"
