    If I'm next Honduras coach:
Identify creative, attacking center mids immediately.
This entire WC and WC qualifying process was helpful showing us exactly what we need to be able to compete in big games. Ever since Amado Guevara moved on, we have lacked midfielders who want the ball consistently, keep the ball and provide creative combinations with players ahead of him. We have/had a surplus of holding mids which is great but asking them to do the creative thinking is too much and not a solution. We played the most direct of any team in qualifying and WC because of our missing links in the middle. We were able to win games because of physicality and occasional good individual efforts up front. Personally, I'm tired of seeing us play this style of futbol and think we have the tools to join the modern game and be more effective than many countries playing this way because of what the Honduran player offers(very rare for such a small country). I would like to hear from you guys about who potential candidates are to fill the CM roll.

I can't stop laughing, Al-Nassr discard RoRo and per his twitter, he officially joins 2nd Division side, El-Ittifaq. I can't stop laughing. The team got relegated last season in Saudi Arabia.

Three players signed to first division clubs and none of them were on the world cup roster. Wow.

    Btw RIP RoRos career.

It also looks like Costly might be going back to China.

That was an odd decision by RoRo. I think he had to marry his girl, just so she could travel there with him. I thought after the whole WHU debacle, he would have stay pat in Honduras. Good luck to him.

I hope RoRo is getting paid, he seems like a good guy who deserves it. costly should be able to go to a better league though.

Sounds like Mario Martinez is heading to Ecuador to play for Barcelona and Claros is going to Sporting KC in the MLS.

Mario Martinez is talented, just not consistent. He'll have a game where he looks amazing and then the next game he's nowhere to be seen. He can play as AM or on the wings. Doesn't always commit to winning the ball back and his stamina is questionable. To be honest with you, his time at Barcelona will depend on how seriously he takes it.

  18. It seems that our LEGIONARIOS are going to third rate leagues like, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Paraguay. I would prefer for them to stay in Honduras than to go to those places.

Yeah but look at the players that have left.... Third rate.. Bodden, RoRo, Beckeles, Luis Ramos.. Players that aren't really any good anymore or flat out suck. If a Brayan Rochez went there then yes I'd be concerned.

  20. That's true, however, what concerns me is that we are not seeing any players go to leagues in Europe like a few years ago.

We don't make them like we used to. This u20 generation will get things back on track, but how long will it take.

Luis Garrido officially loaned out to Houston Dynamo.

Jerry Bengtson loaned from Revs to Belgrano of the Argentine Primera, aka first division. Wow

I'm glad Garrido is only a loan. I don't like our young players going to the MLS, they don't improve much. I see him being shaped into a great player in Europe.
