Valverde, Casimero and Benz I feel looked good when they were involved, Isco started strong then faded along with the rest of the team. Marcelo seems to have lost all confidence in his abilities, he’s not tried to take on anyone the whole half.

Who is this “they “ ? Literally no one said this lol and I doubt that Zidane himself thought it possible which is why he left in the first place.
"Literally" @Drouchk I thought the whole idea was that only Zidane could salvage something from this season because the boys would play with their heart on their sleeves for him and even the guys on their way out would see their transfer values multiply with a string of epic performances.
You're probably the only one who thought or said this, as everyone saw this as a move for next season and beyond, but go on, keep that tinfoil hat on.
I'm especially happy Zidane came back before the end of the season so he could see this...and lose any remaining illusion that this group's era isn't over. Other than the players, Zidane is going to have to show some improvement in his coaching also....our passing and movement lacks any sort of intensity....every thing we do with the ball is so slow....we need some serious work!

A long ball to Benz towards the flag away from goal with 30 meters separating him from support and 3 defenders close isn't very smart.
He's more likely to score inside the box than outside doing give and goes with Marcelo and Isco... Ffs if we don't sign a CF this summer I'm going to scream.
