I was just watching a 70's match of Kőln and they had 3 of the best lefties, who would still top among the best German lefties....Wolfgang Overath, Hannes Löhr, and Heinz Flohe.
Omar Sivori (Golden Ball 1961) Patrik Berger (ex Liverpool, Dortmund) Leonardo (Brazil WC 94,98) Marek Cech (FC Porto) A. Cole (Chelsea)
I think someone has already mentioned Harry Kewell. A couple of other left footed Aussies, David Carney (Sheffield United) & Nick Carle (Gençlerbirliği).
theres a guy named ali ashfaq in maldives... thats my country... hes also left footed... hes the best forward in maldives...
What about Paolo Maldini? Anyone mention him? Probably one of the best left fullbacks to ever play the game...
Off the top of my head: Ashley Cole (Chelsea) Florent Malouda (Chelsea) Lukas Podolski (Bayern Munich) Fabio Grosso (Lyon) Thomas Hitzlsperger (VfB Stuttgart) Jose Enrique (Newcastle) Marcell Jansen (Bayern Munich) Sulley Muntari (Portsmouth) Petr Cech (Chelsea) I wonder, are there any lefties who play on the right flank the way certain right-footed players work the left flank to cut in and attack?
Lubo Moravcik was two footed. he often took direct free kicks at goal and corners with either foot. the only player i've seen live at a stadium that had that sort of ability.
Pavel Nedved is good with both feet. Also, Atletico Madrid's Luis Garcia is, I think, naturally left footed but I remember when he was at Liverpool he used to take corners right footed sometimes.
Left footers are usually very creative and technically gifted.. perhaps something to do with their brain?
