Max Gradel scored both goals as Leeds beat Championship leaders QPR 2-0 at Elland Road.

Leeds had gone into the game in fourth place in the table but moved up to second thanks to Gradel's goals. Gradel broke the deadlock after 25 minutes before netting his second late on. QPR's Paddy Kenny had made a fine save to deny Luciano Becchio with an early header which was aimed at the top corner. But Becchio headed down a far post cross and Gradel smashed home the opener under Kenny after 25 minutes.
Adel Taarabt went close to getting Rangers back on level terms but saw his goal-bound effort blocked at the expense of a corner. But Gradel led a counter-attack from the halfway line and drilled the ball home at the near post to secure the win for Leeds with 20 minutes to go.

So far, so good. But I don't know if Leeds would stay up if promoted this year.
