I began to dislike the US due to racism (even in Utah) as I grew up. Am I the only one who felt this way?

Its a great country and all but I don't think I'll ever feel truly American.

    That's the other one, 장결희.

Edit: Baek Seung Ho, I think when he grows up, will not be cute.

I have mixed feelings. I rarely meet anyone who harbors animosity against people of different races/ethnicities. I encounter a lot of (usually white) people who are really oblivious when it comes to people/cultures that are different from them. So, they end up saying offensive things but have no idea that what they're saying is offensive. But in 2011, you'd expect them to know better.

Well maybe its just the mormons but white people end up bunching up with white people just as asians bunch up with asians. When you chill with white people, they act white and put down "Asian" traits that you may have. When they get older, they are a little more mature on the topic but deep inside, they still hold those feelings. This doesn't apply to everyone, obviously, but a lot of them still cringe at the possibility that a black guy or an asian guy moves into their suburb.
Furthermore, I encounter a lot of rednecks who really make me cringe.

never knew racism still existed in the US. or maybe it's because i grew up in ktown california. but there still seems to be the "glass cieling" for Asian Americans in the US society.

It will just take a long time. We tend to like things that are more similar to us. But over time, people will grow up seeing all colors or mixed colors their whole life.

No offense, but Californians don't believe in anything else exists but CA. Racism is still a huge issue in the US, just pushed to the back burner. I you get it to the midwest, or anywhere that's not along the coast, you can expect racism for sure.

imo, racism will always exist as long as different races co-exist with one another. and there's always racial tensions in CA..especially in the rough neighborhoods.. and let's not forget the infamous prisons here

According to Google translator it says Lee is the great revelation :D

The article says he is a candidate for Best Player.

It seems he is already having a good time there. :)
