    Re: Lechia Gdansk

what the... so how many of the planned stadiums have actually had something done to them? because i know Wisla was planning on completing their upgrades regardless, but i didn't know about others

also, how is Poland supposed to host a Euro if a bunch of highways and rail lines still need to be constructed as well as hotels. supposedly of all the Polish cities only Warsaw currently has just enough :(

furthermore to add on that, does anyone know if anything has been started back in Poland that was proposed for the Euro? such as anything i listed or along the lines of that (railways, highways, stadiums, hotels, airports, etc)

    Re: Lechia Gdansk

Coach Kubicki let go by Lechia b/c he refused to sign a non-corruption clause to his contract!!

    http://www.sport.pl/pilka/1,65050,5481588,Kubicki_sie_broni__to_sponsorzy_Lechii_domagali_sie.html

Lechia wanted him to add this clause to his contract which had one more year left on it, the clause said that he (Kubicki) had nothing to do with corruption in or out of the sport

Lechia also said that this done to insulate the team and the sponsors from Kubicki's alleged involvment in shady deals, he was called before the Anti-Corruption Dept last year and his case might soon be referred to the courts

Lechia scores twice to record our first Ekstraklasa win in Gdansk in 20 years!!! A clean sheet against a poorly playing Cracovia side...I watched the game on justin tv, and was impressed with Lechia's staunch defense and very fast counterattack.

I don't like justin tv, but still, watching Lechia in the Ekstraklasa from across the ocean is pretty cool, no matter how bad the quality. And yesterday neither the sopcast nor the tvants links worked.

supposedly you guys are interested in Hernani, that'd be a phenomenal buy for you guys... i wish Bednarz and Cupial had gotten their head out of their a$$es and went after him. he'd easily be a long term replacement for Cleber, if not better!

nothing but yellow cards so far

    Arka:
    Marcin Wachowicz(3.)

    Lechia:
    Karol Piatek(4.)Pawel Buzala(16.)

also an early change for Arka, Kowalski in for Plotka b/c of injury

rough game in the early going... and its only 25 minutes played

    ps
problem with lights at the stadium, play goes on

reports indicate that the Lechia fans are boycotting this game, since they were only given 300 tickets
