    #AFCup2016
Tripoli (Lebanon) 1-1 Faisaly (Jordan). Naft Wasat 6 points Faisaly 5 points Tripoli 4 points Istiqlol 1 point

Hidd (Bahrain) 2-5 Ahed (Lebanon). Ahed 6 points Altyn Asir 5 points Al Wehdat 4 points Hidd 1 point

It won't be easy for Tripoli to go to the next round. Ahed can easily win this competition

Before joining Lebanon NT, Walid Ismail & Ali Hamam play today an #ACL2016 game vs FC Bunyodkor while Soony Saad will try to continue his great performance in the Thai League against Chiangri United.

Ali Hamam got an injury during his last asian champions league game..
Mohamad Haidar could miss the game because of injury... So Lebanon without 2 key players. Main difference with the past is that we have a better defense, but a weaker midfield. We have also now some young players in european academies (Benfica, Levante, Lyon), so it's a good thing for the future.

    Squad list:

Goalkeepers: Mahdi Khalil (Safa, Lebanon); Hassan Bitar (Ahed, Lebanon) ; Ahmed Taktouk (Nejmeh, Lebanon)

Defenders: Nour Mansour (Ahed, Lebanon) ; Youssef Mohamad ; Hassan Oumari (Nejmeh, Lebanon) ; Joan Oumari (Sivasspor, Turkey) ; Walid Ismail (Zob Ahan, Iran); Mohamed Zein Tahan (Safa, Lebanon) ; Mahmoud Ahmad Kojok (Racing, Lebanon) ; Moataz Bellah Al-Junaidi (Ansar, Lebanon)

Midfielders: Hilal El-Helwe (Vfl Wolfsburg II); Abbas Atwi (Nejmeh, Lebanon) ; Ahmad Jalloul (Safa, Lebanon) ; Roda Antar ; Omar El Kurdi (Safa, Lebanon); Adnan Haidar (HamKam, Norway) ; Ghazi Honeini (Racing, Lebanon)

Forwards: Soony Saad (Pattaya United, Thailand) ; Hassan Maatouk (Fujaira SC, United Arab Emirates) ; Hassan Chaito (Ahed, Lebanon) ; Mahmoud Sibilino (Nejmeh, Lebanon); Mohamad Haidar (Safa, Lebanon)

We will now focus on AFC cup qualification.
the draw will be held after octobre 2016 (surely in december imo). so we have time to improve our rankings in order to secure a place in the pot 1 (alongside China, Palestine, Oman and Palestine & who knows maybe Kuwait ^^) or in the pot 2 (alongside Vietnam, Philippines etc).

most important thing is to avoid a group with China (or Oman) + Vietnam.

we have a good generation who will be ready for 2019 and of course for the 2022 WC qualification.

Joan Oumari are doing well in the Super Lig with Sivasspor.
Ali Hamam and Walid Ismail are really amazing with Zob Ahan in the AFC Champions League.
Roda Antar will help Mahdi Khalil, goalkeeper, to get some tryouts in Europe. Mahdi played a beautiful game against South Korea.
Lebanon's def is really good for a "minnow" nation.

in Offense, we have good players: Hassan Maatouk (one of the top arab players in the emirates league), Soony Saad (4 games : 2 goals and 2 assists in the Thai League), Mohamad Haidar (ex Ittihad player). Good off for "minnow" nation

The main problem of the team is the midfield... the coach should fix this issue before 2017.

    -Lebanese League is on fire. 4 rounds left : Safa—43 Ahed—42 Nejmeh—41 Ansar—37

    - Ahed are doing well in AFC Cup. They can do something great!!

    - Ihab Darwiche (22y) will join the national team. He played with Schalke U17, U19 and II. He's now playing with Rot Weiss Ahlen. He can be a great addition.

    - 2 friendlies vs Jordan : dates to be determined.

    - Al Mayadeen won the Lebanese Futsal Championship. Great finals between the best lebanese players & international players as Angellot Caro (Colombia), Boba Rajcevic (Serbia) and Mehdi Javid (Iran)

    - Hassan Maatouk won't stay with Fujaira. He will surely move to a top saudi or emirati club. I think he will be the next NT captain after Roda Antar.

    Hi Lads,
    some news:

-lebanese league : it's now a two-horse battle for the tittle between Safa and Ahed. 2 rounds left and Safa have one more point than Ahed!!! guess what? Ahed will face Safa in the last round!!!

    -lebanese abroad:
.Soony Saad, Lebanon NT player (23y), scored a nice lob for Pattaya United. 2 wins in a row for his team. 9 games in the Toyota Thai League : 3 goals and 3 assists. I don't think he will stay too much in Pattaya.. a move to the MLS with Detroit?

. Hassan Maatouk is shining in the Emirates Leagues. one more assist!

.Hilal El Helwe, Lebanon NT player (21y), scored two goals for Wolfsburg II in the north regionaliga. His team is now the leader and will surely play the playoff to advance to the 3.Bundesliga. Very good player, i think he will play soon in the 2.Bundesliga

. Ex Lebanon Olympic players, Mohamad Kdouh (22y, striker) and Jad Noureddine (25y, cd) moved to the Indonesian League. Mohamad with Persela showed a random performance while Jad with Pusamania Borneo played a great game!

.Bassel Jradi (eligible for the NT, played a friendly game for Lebanon); scored this week for Lillestrom in the norwish league. they are now ranked 6th

. Amin Younes (who will choose btw Lebanon and Germany after the Olympics but i think he will play for the Mannschaft), scored and gave 2 assists in less than 6 minutes for Ajax Amsterdam. they are still the leader!

The other lebanese Walid Ismail will leave Zob Ahan at the end of the season.
I hope Ali Hamam will stay in Iran

He also ended up in the Team of the Week

I think he will get his contract extended but I'm not sure. He's the starting RB at ZA and has been quite decent/reliable this season as a whole, we'll see how it goes. Personally I really rated him especially this year

Walid Ismail at this point has been alright but as I previously said with the return of the old 1st choice LB Ghanbari and ZobAhan buying former Iran international LB Beikzadeh competition for that spot will mostly be between them two and although Ismail could still be a good backup 3 LBs would be a little too much, he might want to get more playing time in another club (maybe a team in Iran where he will play more will offer him a contract who knows?)
