It's 0-0 at halftime, and Liga is taking it to America on the road. I'd think America will settle down at halftime and come up strong in the 2nd half, but the way things are going so far this match could go either way.

Tsk, Varsky making fun of the referee, sure he has made mistakes but enough of beating the dead horse.

    Guerrón what a play.

    LDUQ 1-0.

The Guerrón of today is more like Guerrón we saw in previous matches, because he was sorta bad in the 2nd leg against San Lorenzo.

Guerron es facilmente una de las revelaciones del torneo. Se paso, de verdad.

Has Liga ever been in a Libertadores final before?

América caught the white defense offguard and tie. It seems there's a lot left from this match.

And now both are down with 10 men.

Great result for Liga, almost like a win. Not only did America get a bad result at home, but they lost their best defender and should have lost their captain. Liga has a huge advantage heading home, Guerron totally pwned America's defense today.

Yeah, great result for Liga. They keep doing what it takes. But, this series is just getting started, there was a lot of bad blood today and the return leg should be quite a battle.

Guerrón played good, hopefully he can keep up these fantastic performances. I think things are open for both teams to get the ticket to the final. The match at the white house should be entertaining, hopefully as much as this one.

This game in all honesty should have been a victory for liga. Not only did the refferee had a clear intervention in the game by not kicking out Villa and giving a red one to Bolanos, but then at certain stages of the game, we were a little slow to react. Ochoa did get a couple of safes and a post. Oh well, we need to see what we can expect on the next game here in Quito.

So America Has nothing to Loose as it stands i can see them Pressing the Box and being offensive i can also see Quito bunckering to preserve the current score line

Has Club America or LDU Quito brought in any refuerzos up to this point?

    How exactly does that work?

After the group stages can a team bring in an X amount of refuerzos for each subsequent round?

Liga has been using the same players since December if earlier, no new players I think.

As for the comment of liga Bunking in Quito, I really dont see that happening. That would mean America is all over liga, and that I dont see happening either. Liga has a good team, and they´ve proven their best game is ball control, and organization. So they will probably try to make things the other way around, having America play underneath its posts. It should be an open game. America only needs one goal to win.

I agree, Liga won't bunker in Quito. The ideal time to bunker was when they played in Mexico and we saw that that didn't happen. Liga will attack from the beginning, which is the way it should be playing at home.
