En la cancha juegan hombres no nombres. Same thing was said when barcelona was buying players left and right building a team that everyone thought its barcelonas year, they're going far and going to win everything and look what happen.

Very true. It's still too early to know how well Dep Quito will do, but we just worry about our games and see how the rest plays out. Liga also bolstered itself this year and we will probably add one more over the summer.

I'm not up to date with who's playing in Liga for the new season. Anyone care to inform me on possible starting 11's?

well the new players are f. hidalgo, enrique vera, ezequiel gonzalez, g. Caicedo, L. Bolanos, and A. Moreira. obviously our team will not be as competitive as the previous 3 years. as for the starting line up i hope its.

    GK- John Jaramillo
    DF-Guagua, Araujo, Calderon(Ambrossi)
    MF- Reasco-Vera-De La Cruz-M. Bolanos-L. Bolanos
    AMC- E. Gonzalez
    FW- Barcos

I wish we had a better striker than Luna.

Norberto Araujo is still regaining his fitness? According to clubldu.com he's not in the starting XI today.

    3-0 FT. :)

    4' Geovanni Caicedo
    44' José Cevallos Enríquez
    69' Hernan Barcos

I watched the 1st half and it was all Liga.
Could have been much more than 3-0.

Great game today...Cevallos Jr. scoring was the moment of the game, and I'm certain that his dad is beaming right now. It looks like the team is finally ready to start playing. We had some miscues against Olmedo and were missing some guys, once Bolanos gets his transfer, then we're looking at a considerably more dangerous Liga. Great win today, Barcelona still can't beat us at home. \U/

Hernan Barcos out 2-3 weeks due to injury in his knee. Also Beto Araujo seems to have injured similar muscle as he had troubles with during his recuperation.

This is true, if my google translations went correctly.

    Crap news!

awful finishing and awful defending. they were a threat to us with corners and free kicks. We desperately need Norberto Araujo and Hernan Barcos. One more yellow for William araujo, nicer, ulises, or Vera and they are out for the following game.

And Chino Luna needs to pack his shit and leave I'm so sick of him missing goals in important games like these. Go back to Tigre you worthless paquete. We've given this guy enough time to prove himself and he's still trash.

God I miss Bieler and Salgueiro. Sucks we couldn't keep Salgueiro.

Sicarios, man....shit is dangerous out there right now. The incidence of this type of crime is escalating at rapid rates. Something has to give, and hopefully soon.

I'm just glad that Chucho is okay. I'd hate to see this happen to any player, but it feels worse when it affects the team you follow. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

I'm doing my masters thesis in Quito/Esmeraldas/Chota this summer, and I guess the violence component will now be added to the discussion.

im still a bit worried as to our substitutes. if miller, ezequiel, or luis bolanos get injured anytime during this cup we're screwed. This past game we didn't have a sub for miller or ezequiel. We only had defensive guys to come in like Urrutia or William Araujo. When you get far in this cup, those type of changes don't cut it. So we gotta keep our fingers crossed that those 3 players along with Barcos stay healthy the whole time as well as the rest of the team.

still pisses me off how Liga let Cristian Lara AND Joao Plata go. And we didn't even get a replacement for Miguel Ibarra who was KEY for our team to have subs. Imagine reasco's getting injured...who takes his place?

^ and i feel like i cursed Miller Bolanos. he's out for 4-6 weeks now and we're only left with Equi Gonzales as a 10. THIS is what i feared. Hope you learn from your mistakes Esteban Paz and Bauza. It was a dumbass idea to let go of Lara and Joao Plata and not replace Miguel Ibarra with someone. These are the consequences.

one mistake cost us that game vs Penarol. We didn't deserved to win but if luck was one our side we could have pulled a tie. Tomorrow Independiente will play Godoy Cruz in Mendoza if I'm not mistaken. If independiente gets 1 or 3 pts out of that game it's over in this group for Liga. That games decisive IMO. This game was key for Liga to seal the deal. A bit worrying at this point.

Luck has not been on our side and our injuries have kicked us in the ass. if
we had a completed team we would be undefeated still. Liga
has a team to qualify first out of this group stage but with key players missing it becomes a huge issues fighting in two fronts.
