    He didn't miss on purpose. He has taken them like that before. That was just a cocky ass taking a crap penalty. If he wanted to miss it, not that he ever would, he would have just shot wide of the goal.

    Ribery tried the "chip in the middle" lob, and it's like the goalie expected it. Always wondered how that would look if the keeper didn't guess. Now I know. Really bad.

    He is just trying to rub it in, be cheeky, whatever. He has done the exact same thing on two other occasions in the Bundesliga. Lehmann wasn't buying it, so he didn't guess to either side.

    The chip pk came into vogue long after my playing days were over. Every time I see it I can't imagine someone trying that and escaping the match with his legs intact.

    Nah. Probably one of those plastic sheets taped to his forearm like NFL quarterbacks.

    If BM can keep this up, it'll be a perfect game for Donovan's debut where his speed and counter-attack ability can be utilized as Stuttgart presses to score late in the game...

    I'm just thinking about the reaction of (a) Bayern fans (b) Landon-haters and most of all (c) the dorks on Fox Football Fone-in - the vitriol would be unfathomable.
