I can understand your feeling and agree. However, I seem to remember Bruce multiple USOC games (I believe over multiple seasons) that he couldn't be bothered to even coach including one or both of the games against the Railhawks. I assume be didn't bother attending either.
IIRC, there were other games he missed as well (in addition to one for a family related event). I remember Dave coaching one of two of these and assumed that they were USOC games but perhaps they were early CCL games in Central America.
So the SGs got their "supporter privileges" revoked due to alleged vandalism at LAFC and the groups supposed not providing names of perpetrators. While I don't condone idiotic behavior, banning drums and tifo seems nonsensical and blanket punishments involving people not there, seems counterproductive. I did a bit on MLS and SG groups as a result... https://barroldinhosoccer.wordpress.com/2018/08/13/mls-decide-what-you-want-from-supporters-groups/
I have no idea what LAFC has by way of CCTV at the Coliseum Annex. I do know (don't ask me how) that Stub Hub was built with an extremely sophisticated system that permits honing in on virtually any specific seat should the need arise.
Well the Fanpics app literally took photos of every seat in the house and could literally pinpoint your seat number. This stuff shouldn't be hard. And a belligerent drunken moron is not going to be soothed by the elimination of some flags and smoke. If anything, handing the imbecile a drum to bang for 90 minutes is more likely to distract him from stomping on infrastructure. Taking it full circle, the club enabling themselves to pinpoint such a troglodyte and exclude them from events where they might get carried away and break stuff, would be a proper solution that benefits all of us.
I find it interesting that LAFC (and I don't know if they are unique), complain and ban opponent fans for property destruction, but I haven't heard that they have done anything about supporters and stadium staff assaulting or hassling opponent fans.
I believe that at least one of the LAFC guys who was filmed causing trouble was both banned and released an apology.
I was right next to the away section at the el traffico match and it sure seemed to me that the marching orders for LOLFC security was to pick a fight with the Galaxy fans. They seemed to go out of their way to create drama and start pulling fans out of the section. It created a very “caged animal” atmosphere with the galaxy supporters. LAFC likes to pretend they are soooooo authentic but they are INCREDIBLY thin skinned in so much they do/act.
Check out this delusional and insane thread from LAFC. Honestly, I think LAFC supporters should boycott away to Carson. Don't give their STH resale money. Don't give the atmosphere credibility. Stay home.— 🙈🙉🙊 (@lafcpodcast) August 17, 2018 He does admit that he is half trolling, but I don't think his commentors got that.
I’m OK with the SG punishment. We got the tickets and bus ride for free. Some of us, not sure who, trashed some of those flimsy seats. That’s not ok. Two home games without supporter privileges is not much. The away ban is a little harsh, but we can still attend and bring our scarves and sing and dance. Kids gotta grow up, though.
They really are an ironic bunch aren't they. Putting the LOL in #LOLFC since 2004. #LAisblackandgold #lipstickonagoat #bornincarson #lafc #LAvLAFC #citylimitsonly pic.twitter.com/tihURcQc0d— Carson Visitors Bureau (@BorninCarson) August 24, 2018
Should be the slogan for the entire fan base. I heard a dude said the galaxy wasn't blue and gold but yellow and gold. First of all, no once corrects that when the Lakers call themselves the purple and gold. Second, what an insignificant thing to be concerned about.
Holy hell. Apparently, some lafc fans are trying to spread lies that Galaxy fans... and also the guy walking the aisles yelling "peanuts!"... are racists. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 1033413644246077440 is not a valid tweet id
Anyone know how LAFC supporter section was so big when supposedly they were e given only 130 tickets. Seems pretty crazy that they were able to get those seats in the after market.
That whole north side is GA so, they just bought GA tickets and sat next to their away section. It's happened before but, not to this extent. This problem is being looked at though and IMO away supporters should only be given sections 317 and 318 on the west corner of the berm. we're working on it— brendan hannan (@brendanhannan) August 25, 2018
They need to be given the most north end corner of the Mezzanine, 228? That way there are far enough from ACB & LARS, and you can't just buy GA seats and sit where you want.
226 would be my next vote after 317 and 318 but, that gives them a canopy to both reflect noise and also shade them from the sun for day games. They'd still be next to G fans as well. I want them up by themselves where it's easy to separate them with security along the walkway and also have them roasting in their black jerseys all day for a noon kickoff.
Yeah my bad I meant 226. 317-318 would be ideal. And I'd go even a step further. You make the GA sections 116-120 assigned seats like they are on the south end (104-139). That way there is no bunching up. You sit were you're assigned.
Are they using the "Galaxy-is-the-white-man's-team" bullshit like Goats USA fans did? I hated that back then and for those who know me, it's pretty clear I ain't white. You know, maybe the Galaxy is not just the team of SoCal but of the people, all of them: white, brown, black, yellow, etc.
