This is so depressing. We're the most successful and most well-known team in MLS history. I should be pointing with humorous derision at this act of Goat Necromancy, this Reanimated Corpse of Chivas USA, with its list of owners that reads like they were tricked into signing on because somebody went to a celebrity golf tournament and told them it was a petition to widen the California Aqueduct. Instead, I have to look on in envy as they continue to market themselves in the kind of manner that an elite team should, while these days, our finding out about so much as a serious signing is often determined by who Josh Guesman runs into in the restroom.
Yes, but the Galaxy is a World Super Club and Galaxy fans can go buy jerseys with Giovani or J. Dos Santos on the back. Those guys are international superstars from Mexico! .
I like our chances this season. I feel like we have had a strong offseason. I don’t throw away 20+ years of fan loyalty over one dumpster fire season. Can’t wait to play LAFC.
It seems most are underwhelmed by LAFC first pre-season. Many neutrals are comparing their build to Minnesota, rather than Atlanta. To me, It looks closer to what Orlando was able to cobble together in their first year.
I think they have some decent pieces. With no injuries their defense and central mid should be ok. No depth yet.
It's hard to tell about LAFC since they only have 15 players, some of whom seem to be role players. I am sure Bob Bradley will put together a respectable first season. At this point, Galaxy is just hoping for playoffs as well! We are rebuilding, but we are ahead of LAFC. Where they have the advantage is still having a DP left for summer.
