Next game might not be in Barranquilla. I don't get why the US is allowed to play in like 20 cities their qualifiers and we can't.

I think we should play some games in other places. The heat doesn't seem to effect Venezuela, Chile or Argentina.

It's also nice for more cities to get the NT especially with how regionalist Colombians are. I don't think Bogota is a good place but a game in Cali and Medellin would be nice.

Who told you this nonsense? Next game vs. Ecuador in Quilla at 3 or 4 p.m. We are 4 from 4 under Pekerman with GD of 13-0. Give me one good reason to change the location.

We are qualified and to end this regionalistic BS. The NT is everyone's team not just Bogota(altitude kills our guys) or Barranquilla. It'd be nice if they play'd at least the Chile game in a different location

During the Peru game the announcers said they might play the next 2 games somewhere else

that was just a rumor from some sponsor that asked for that ..... nevertheless, we all know that it wont happen.... Barranquilla is la casa de la seleccion and a place that the other teams are afraid of.... so get used to it....

Good coaches take advantage of it and Pekerman has done so... Anyone here remembers how did we start against Argentina and Venezuela under Maturana and Leonel?

    07/09/2003BarranquillaColombia1:2 (1:1)Brazil
    15/11/2003Barranquilla Colombia0:1 (0:1)Venezuela
    19/11/2003BarranquillaColombia1:1 (0:1)Argentina

    11/11/2011BarranquillaColombia1:1 (1:0)Venezuela

    15/11/2011BarranquillaColombia1:2 (1:0)Argentina

Furthermore, the results in Bogota and other cities were not that ugly under Garcia (3W-1D-2L) and Lara (3W-1L), and horrible under Maturana (1W-1D-1L) and Pinto (2W-1D-2L).

So far Pekerman has been 4 out of 4 in Killa, but have you paid attention at how he has done it?

The team tries to end the game in the first half and they attack relentlessly until it is done; so far it has worked. In the second half they allow the other team to control the actions, but also put more energy onto it, and here is where Colombia's defense has excelled, by not allowing goals while the other team wastes their energy. After 20 minutes in the second half, Pekerman makes substitutions and closes the game, sometimes packing more goals on the opponent thanks to the fresh legs of the guys just in.

It has worked so far and it will work in the next games, because Pekerman is a good coach that understands how to use the advantage. But the playing in Barranquilla with a bad coach is as bad as playing in any other city.

Yes. I just mentioned this the other day when our style of play was being criticized. Point is that Pekerman has blueprinted how to do this going fwd - btw - Falcao really understands the strategy, if you rewatch the first 20 ms he is everywhere running and everything.

What I love about Pekerman is strategy. Hopefully we cherish him for a long time, and if we ever lose him sign someone capable of executing the model he has created. I think since he figured this out we've been up over 15 goals and allowed none in.

Once we officially qualify I would not mind seeing a match played somewhere else but doubt it will happen. Barranqilla has proven to be the best place for qualifying.

Next year when all the Euro teams will be clamoring to set up friendlies in South America is when we should play in places like Pereria, Cali, Medellin, Manizales, etc.
Kind of like what the USA does for their send off series prior to the World Cup. They go to different parts of the country and play friendlies.

I saw we continue to give back support to a wonderful city that has given the NT so much. Barranquilla is amazing, and the fans really enjoy the footy there.

For the friendlies before the WC we can, as somebody suggested, play in different citites. So that everybody has a chance to see their NT.

I'm from Bogota, and that regionalism and segregation that most colombians have is utter crap.
