The club wanted to postpone the match but the Spanish Football Association said if the match doesn't go ahead 6 points will be deducted. Playing behind closed doors is the club's way of bringing attention to what's happening in the city. Also shame on Laporta for attacking the board of directors for doing this. I would have respected him more if he shut his trap and focused on supporting the club at these difficult times instead of using this as yet another opportunity to say something totally unnecessary. Something along the lines of 'the club shouldn't have played the match, playing the match is a no vote, it's being an accomplice to those who practise indiscriminate violence" alongside other crap...
Back to the match... Take of Vidal and bring on Semedo and play Roberto a bit further up. 3 hours ago Pique was voting and now he's playing. I wouldn't have started him and started Umtiti instead.
I have to disagree with you here.. Playing a full stadium would have been better for the team, club and catalunya. Would have brought lots of attention than this. Barça will end up with 1p, and everything will be forgotten shortly by everyone else. I think board ********ed up to be honest. It's playing the crying victim.
Why would Luisito dive there?? The ball was through, he was through, it was a tap-in. I hate that every time a player falls it has to be called either a foul or a dive.
Maybe I should have worded it better, I don't mean to say that I agreed with them playing behind closed doors. That is their rationale for doing it. If Laporta had it his way, Barca would not have played all together and lost 6 points.
watch it again , the last defender pushed him from behind and caused him to trip right before he passed the gk.
Who's the beIn color guy? From Phil Schoen's and his own comments, I gather it's someone who played GK in England, but I don't recognize the voice.
