Not being able to predict how a player will turn out surely is more of an indictment on clubs decision to keep Bale and quadruple down on Benzema. Both those bets were very risky and anyone being objective knew how foolish this was.

Morata 10 goals + 4 assists in 1354 mins

Benzema 4 goals + 3 assists in 940mins

 

To be clear I'm ready to move on from both. The team is built around Ronaldo, including Benzema who licks his boots at half time. I'd sell both and see us win much more domestically.

 

He has mentioned that he would be happy to come back though.

Zidane wanted to integrate Mayoral and keep Benz unchallenged for the starting spot .

 

I am talking about Mariano who recently said he put his future in zidane’s hands who advice him to go to Lyon.

 

I thought it was Benzema who advised him. I remember even Lyon's president thanked Benzema.

 

Yes and allegedly we wanted to sell Bale but he refused. Started with Alonso a few years back I've been concerned that our transfer policy depends too much on the intentions of the squad.

Players are already babied throughout season and then rewarded with tantrums and insistence during the trade window. The club needs to be more in control.

Treating players well is a good thing but it's not like we don't have James situations regardless of how we handle these guys.

 

Benzema was the one who should be going to France to finish out his career. We desperately need a change.

Mariano's biggest mistake was not going on loan last season when the club wanted him to go. It was clear from then until this summer ZZ had no plans on having him play a major role. Even half a season getting experience and scoring goals, the club would have brought him back asap after Morata left.
