Zinedine Zidane holds 'preliminary talks' over shock MLS move https://t.co/CjfiCPSS4Q— Miami-MLS (@Miami_MLS) September 23, 2018 Probably total bullshit but one can dream
Probably the worst signing of the decade. Even more so because he completely messed up the balance of the team when United didn't even need an additional forward.
He's just not that great to be honest. Had a great season at Arsenal, but his history isn't really that amazing. People call Benzema a non goal scorer, but he routinely outscores him for the majority of his career as far as i know. Manchester United gave him a retirement contract and the guy is absolute chill now. Had Manchester City signed him, it's hard to really claim that he'd be starting ahead of Sane and Sterling.
Ronaldo is averaging about 50% of Juve's shots and has one of if not the highest shot totals in Europe. He has one of the highest shot totals inside the box and leads the team by far. Juve are and continue to be cross heavy which means that Ronaldo has been on the box of many of the attacking plays. I'm not sure if you have had the chance to watch all or any of Juve's matches because the chances created, shots taken by him, and his presence inside the box haven't been the issue. Ronaldo's finishing is what has been lacking. Sandro, Cancelo, Bernardeschi, Dybala, Costa, Cuadrado, Pjanic, mandzukic, bonucci, heck even Matuidi has served to Ronaldo on a plate on many of his poorly missed chances. Heck even one of Ronaldo's missed tap ins resulted in a weird assist to Mandzukic. Right now it's clear that they are looking for him which means that Dybala, Costa, Mandzukic, are passing too much if anything. I'm confident that he will start taking these clear chances and finish with loads of goals.
He was having a poor season at Arsenal before he moved over. They could have purchased an actual left and right back with that money. All that spending and they still have Valencia and right back and Ashley Young as an left back (prior to Shaw returning).
He is quality player, but not worth 500K per week. The fact MUTD did such as thing, shows that they have deep institutional problems. That is the point.
He's not being utter trash now either, it's just the same as Pogba: The money spent goes hand in hand with the expectations. I think Manchester United expect him to be a 30 goal per season player for them while for me, even with tons of time on the ball he's a 15 to 20 on a good season one. Manchester City and United were pretty much fighting it out euro by euro to take it there. Some people talking football money were claiming Sanchez just played out of his mind for the shop window and would wind down to his regular level once he got his cut.
Marcelino has tons of experience in managing sides fighting against relegation so he's the perfect man for the job.
I'm watching Betis- Athltic Bilbao. Betis scored their second season goal and Athletic with the dumbest red card of the planet. Hope Betis win this.
Lenglet gets a red after VAR review. Good sign that the VAR crew is willing to penalize Barcelona. Suarez will see red every game if they call things like today.
I didn't think it was intentional I also think the yellow a few more minutes later should have gone to saurez
Thanks Girona. No way Barca should be allowed to play them in US rather than at Girona's home stadium. It was a tough away game for us.
