My concern with Scott has always been whether or not he plays for us, not his talent. Might have been a good strategic player to call up to this U-20 WCQ, even though he's born in late December of 1997, similar to Carter-Vickers. This is a player who is eligible to play for USA, England, Republic of Ireland and Italy. If he's willing to accept a call up to a tournament like U-20 WCQ where he can become provisionally cap-tied, it has to be something to consider. Besides, I'm not so sure that Scott isn't a better player than Arce Jr. already.
I would imagined he was asked but declined at this time. He doesn't seem to be one of the top players in his U21 team unlike CCV whom he is one of the best in his team.
Chelsea has very good youth teams, Tottenham seems to be getting better and they do have some very talented players, but I think its much harder to get into the Chelsea U-21 team. I suspect its very hard for a player born in late December of '97 to get into Chelsea's U-21 team regularly. The fact that he's even playing friendly games and a few brief sub appearances is good news that he's probably not too far off from being a regular with the Chelsea U-21's. He's still age eligible for their U-18's.
To the best of my knowlege, he wasn't set to be part of this U20 team... The next U20 team. Carter-Vickers probably would have made it but his progress was accelerated due to Palmer-Brown's injury and the relative thin pool otherwise in central defense

Kyle could be a big piece for the 2017 U-20 cycle. Our '97-'98s appear to be stacked with talented midfield prospects.
Chelsea Youth@chelseayouth Amongst today's first team training session were Kyle Scott, Fikayo Tomori and Hubert Adamczyk, all first-year scholars in great form. #CFC
I really think this guy is getting overlooked a lot. I know Carter-Vickers and Zelalem consistently play at a higher level by playing with the U-21's at their clubs, but Chelsea's U-21's are a lot harder to break into. Their academy has ridiculous amounts of talent. I know Scott's eligible to play with the next U-20 team, but I think he should be considered for the current one. Maybe Tab will call him up soon.
Are these kids dual nationalities? If so, there is your answer for Kyle Scott not being with our YNT.
If they're dual nationals they may not want to commit to a national team at such a young age and early stage in their career.
Of course they are... that is the only way American kids can get to England. Both Scott brothers hold US, UK (English), and Irish passports.

The Chelsea U18s have moved to the semifinals of the FA Youth Cup: Chelsea U18s (4-2-3-1): Bradley Collins; Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori, Jake Clarke-Salter (Ali Suljic 63), Jay Dasilva; Charlie Colkett (c), Kyle Scott (Ruben Sammut 97); Tammy Abraham, Dominic Solanke, Charly Musonda (Kasey Palmer 68); Isaiah Brown Subs not used: Jared Thompson, Mukhtari Ali With legs beginning to tire and the game becoming stretched there were chances to be had. Chelsea were next to threaten and Solanke – unguarded just six yards from goal – somehow headed wide when Kyle Scott landed a free-kick on his brow. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...Blues-Youth-Cup-semi-final.html#ixzz3RxgU0dQU
