I'm just trying to reverse-hype a guy as a yanks abroad forum social experiment. Instead of the next best thing I predict Kyle Scott will never rise above mediocre. He will be practice fodder for Scott Caldwell.
You're absolutely right, so I'll fix my post. The knock wasn't the reason for his absence, it was actually an illness that kept him out today.
Stuck in limbo... not playing for the U23s; not playing (or even on the bench) for the first squad: Here's the Chelsea team today... #STKCHE pic.twitter.com/DbHwKZpUYl— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) September 23, 2017
He's still dealing with an illness...he was scheduled to start their cup match this week, but was kept out, and hasn't started training again since Monday.
Thanks for info, You think he will start the next cup match, or will we have to wait until the FA Cup?
Kyle Scott in line for Premier League debut after N’Golo Kante injury blow http://metro.co.uk/2017/10/13/kyle-...-debut-after-ngolo-kante-injury-blow-6998026/ Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed he’s planning to hand youngster Kyle Scott his debut for the club after N’Golo Kante was ruled out for three weeks. Kante sustained a hamstring injury on international duty with France and Chelsea are awaiting confirmation from a second scan over the severity of the issue. Antonio Conte provides positive update on Alvaro Morata's injury In any case Chelsea expect him to be missing for at least three weeks and that leaves just Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas as the club’s senior, fit central midfielders. Scott, 19, is yet to feature for the club but Conte says he could play some part in the coming weeks. ‘This [Kante] is a big loss for us. You know very well the importance of Kante in our team and we don’t have another player with the same characteristics,’ said Conte. ‘For sure it’s not lucky for us in this period. In midfield we only have Bakayoko and Fabregas available. ‘We have to approach seven games in on month and for this reason in this period we have to find solutions and adapt some defenders in midfield or to give opportunities to young players like [Kyle] Scott to play from the start.’ Man Utd are fun again under Jose Mourinho - but that will all stop against Liverpool Chelsea face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday and Conte could be forced to change his system given the club’s injury problems. Alvaro Morata and Danny Drinkwater join Kante on the sidelines and David Luiz could be pushed into midfield.
That headline does not match the quote: What odds he was asked about the chances of a young player playing and made concessions to it while outlining his preferred path.
First line written by a scrub clickbait hack for the Metro. The line I quoted actually came out the the manager's mouth. Do you appreciate the difference?
fair enough i thought it was a direct quote. You're right, it does seem like Conte was just answering a question he was asked. but i do believe he is in line for his debut especially with their busy schedule and only having two healthy midfielders.
Chelsea starting a very youthful side in the league cup wouldn't be a surprise but Conte trying to make do with Luiz, Fabregas and Bakayoyo in the league and champions league wouldn't be a surprise either

lol chelsea has conceded two to crystal palace who hadn't scored all season, this is hilarious, chelsea is a mess. thats what happens when you don't start mini modric.
