And it's a serious injury too...rapture tendon (not kidding)

God is still making S. korea pay for what they did in 2002. I don't have other explanation.

At least 6 months out according to the club. I still wish he might be able to walk by September so that he can make a cameo appearance at the Asian Games. Even though they won't waste a wildcard slot like that :(

Not as easy as the Asian Games to win a medal.

What's even worse, his career will be seriously threatened as injury on archillis' tendon is that bad.

Ruptured Achilles in his right ankle... just unbelievable. Worst soccer related news I've heard in a long time. This might be worse than the LCY leg break.

I had a Type III Achilles rupture in my left ankle at age 29 playing indoor. It was grafted with cadaver tendon and successfully repaired through surgery.

Physical therapy started about four weeks post op, and lasted nearly 6 months. Though healed fully at around 8 months, I didn't play again for nearly a year (psychologically a hard injury to recover from).

What a lot of people don't realize is the atrophy that occurs to the whole leg. I lost nearly 4 inches in diameter to my calf alone. Even to this day, two years later, my left leg is slightly smaller than my right.

Additionally, other parts of your leg suffer. I've had minor sprains to my knee, which I know are as a result of the atrophy. I'm now extremely careful with any activity I do as a result of this one small tendon tear.

I wish you a speedy recovery KCH.
