This season the league was extended to 16 teams.

favorites are often Prishtina, Besa, Liria, Trepca.

Current champion Besa is the biggest dissapointment this year.
Winning the 2 last seasons by not losing a single match in their home, this season they've done a terrible start.
Then we have Vëllaznimi, a big name in Kosovar football history who's been a botten team last cuople of year.

    Next round;
    Prishtina - Drenica
    Besa-Trepça 89
    Ferizaj – Besiana
    Flamurtari – Kosova (P)
    Kosova (V) - Gjilani
    Vëllaznimi – Liria
    Trepça – KEK-u
    Shqiponja – Hysi

Actually despite a terrible start, Vllaznimi has made a lot of changes last week, a well known company took over, the managment changed, and many of the players who left the team have returned.
I belive this team can make it in the top 6 this season.

    I hope so..

Also my team Besa pf course
    And I belive they will.

    The problem is the defence.
The new youngsters lack of experience,
And since the major sponsor got privatisized (by the owner of the club though), they haven't invested as before.
Probalby becaus nothing happens, I mean untill we join Fifa and Uefa, winning our league doesn't mean a shit, financly that is.

Not to mention that the league has imrpoved and everyone give like 120% against us.

In Northern Cyprus, again ? I didnt know about this. Kosova took part in a tournament in Northern Cyprus earlier (with B team) and lost to N Cyprus 0:1, than won against Samiland 4:1.

Hope thats true, more international matches will only help this team develop.

Kosova seem not to play in Northern Cyprus.

    www.elfcup.org

There is also a "World Cup" in November for NON FIFA nations in France with Monaco, Sapmi (Samiland) , Occitania , Monaco and three other teams, but Kosova is not playing there too...

In newspapers today says that Kosovan coach will travel to Albania these days to follow 4 players who play there.

I think Kosova will participate, but only with the players from Kosovan league, eventually those 4 who play in Albania.

Kosova very soon will become a Fifa member and a UEFA member. There is talk of a joint league with Albania as well as a joint NT once it gains independence. March 10th I think is the deadline of the decision by the UN on Kosovas future.

Very good question. I don't know what the criteria for membership in the UEFA/FIFA is but I'm afraid as long as there's no universal recognition of independence we won't be seeing Kosovo as a member.

I would have loved to see Kosovo play in the next qualifying rounds for the SA 2010. I get to root for two national teams. In any ebent I am updating my favorite clubs as membership will eventually come.

To all my fellow Albanians: HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! It's been a long time coming. Rrofte Shqiptaria.

Kosova will probably participate in the qualifications for EURO 2012 since everything is set already for South Africa 2010.
