His management company is also home to LYP, PJH, YBS, SJH (song jin hyung), JJG, LYR and a lot of other European guys playing in the Swiss leagues. Maybe a move to Switzerland is possible? IDK. Hopefully he aims higher but at 21, a team like Basel isn't a bad place to start, I guess.
Nam and Yoo please gtfo of that horrible horrible place. A retirement home is not for people in their 20s.
YBS's contract runs until 2014. Hopefully, he either plays it out or Al Hilal want to reap profit by selling him. As long as he doesn't extend his contract, something will happen very soon.
He is not even getting regular playing time at Al-Hilal. He shouldn't have moved to the desert league right after the match fixing scandal in the K-League. It ruined his career.
Was he ever linked to the match fixing scandal? Seems a bit ... suspicious. Also, I remember him linking up so well with Ji Dong Won and Koo Ja Cheol during the 1-0 Syria friendly before the 2011 AC. Memory's a bit hazy but he made the stupid mistake of calling out CKR on twitter or something which effectively ruled him out of the KNT while CKR was still manager.
Fuk all the euro snobs that watch Man utd at 2 AM but don't even know who half the national team is or where they play. You have the best teams in Asia right in your area and you fuking let them shrivel up and lose talent to desert leagues. Fuk you Incheon for sending your star to his grave. You had him until 2013 you god damn idiots. And fuk you Yoo. You're the worst of all. 22 goals in 28 apps age 22. You were gifted with more talent than any striker in your age group and you used it to be a lazy ass and play with arab money. Ji is 3 years younger than you and thought he was a left winger the entire tournament. If you sucked it up and worked hard to impress Cho instead of being a bitch about it maybe you'd be playing in europe too dumbass. NAM YOU BETTER NOT WASTE THAT EXEMPTION. MEN IN KOREA WOULD KILL TO BE WHERE YOU'RE AT. TONS OF K-LEAGUE KIDS COULD HAVE DONE YOUR JOB AT THE OLYMPICS.
Yoo BS has 3 things to his skillset: 1) good free kick taker. 2) Probably the best finisher inside the box among Korean strikers (yeah i said it) 3) Great instinct/positioning awareness (which helps him to be a good finisher) still think he can be on the KNT radar sometime in the future and be beneficial...not a complete player though so that limits him. But as long as he's in Saudi Arabia and isn't being ambitious with his career, meh.
It's their livelihood... it's completely understandable that they would want to move to a job that pays more like in any other profession, especially seeing that signing with an oil rich middle eastern club comes with amazing house, car, and pretty much everything
Understandable? Yes. People like money. They're not going becuase they like the sand. But as a korean football fan seeing one of the top young talents go to waste away his years in the desert league owned by oil tycoons is upsetting. This guy had a better chance than anyone in the league to make it big but he went for money instead.
