JESUS imagine HMB playing in the modern game where centrebacks are expected to be skilful ball-playing defenders.

원태훈 - perhaps the next potential phenom? We can only hope. Cha BK provides some feedback as well.

Hope the potential injuries don't set him back.

I haven't seen it yet but I heard it was an audition program where the winner might have a shot at playing at a european club team or something?

Also KBS is airing a new series called 볼쇼이영표 that will be airing starting this week. MBC had 안정환과 축구 먹는 남자들

WC/football content appearing as expected now leading up to the WC.

Do you know how the other show w/ AJH and lee eul yong ended up? Were any of the participants actually recruited by pro teams?

I believe one went to Thailand, one played briefly for Goyang Zaicro before they folded. the rest I don't think really made it after Hungry 11.

I just finished watching episode 1 of Hiddink's 축구의 신. It seems like it could be a good show and a good opportunity for people with no connections to get a shot. Choi Jin Chul, Lee Chun Soo, Hyun Young Min, Song Chong Gug are the main "coaches", 2AM's Jinwoon & Highlight's Lee Ki Kwang are the MCs.

and others who made appearances so far in episode 1 were Kim Byung Ji, Choi Sung Yong, Seol Ki Hyeon, Kim Tae Young, Lee Woon Jae.

    Apparently none.

I believe those who are still playing are competing in K3 League.

That's disappointing to hear though. Level of play in K3 is very low. I've played 조기축구 with past and present K3 and even K2 players, and although they werent necessarily key members of their squads, they werent much better than skilled non-pros if at all.

So looking more into it 5 guys from 청춘FC made it to pro leagues in Korea (Goyang Zaicro), 2 in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Uruguay but only the guy who played for Goyang is still playing, he is on K3 Chungju Citizen FC right now, the rest pretty much gave up either due to military or personal reasons

He had already resumed his career as in-game analyst last year; he has covered K-League 1 actions live at MBC Sports+.
