i have to admit, he doesn't look too happy. i'm also inclined to believe Diego & Koo are poor together. two players who need consistent touches of the ball just isn't working out. both looked better with Arnold... as for Naldo.. he's an older version of David Luiz.
I'd not read tooo much into Koo's expression... could just be tired. But Koo + Diego are really a bad combo for sure. That said, not sure how many players with which Diego could mix well with.
KDB deal about to close. Diego set to stay saying with no atletico madrid interest (May presign Brazilian move for next season) http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...eal-steht-vor-dem-abschluss.html#omsmtwkicker
too bad they are still negotiating http://www.wolfs-blog.de/2014/01/11/de-bruyne-wechsel-in-den-nachsten-tagen-fix/
if chelsea gave the ok, then the hard part (fee) is done. given that KDB's agent has already been talking to wolfsburg, I imagine its just gathering press and the like.
I agree that Diego and Koo don't form the strongest partnership. But I also find it a bit disappointing that Koo has slowly, but steadily developed into a ball-dominant midfielder. He was once capable of playing all three positions across central midfield (defensive midfielder, shuttler between DM and AM and attacking midfielder), but he's now seemingly pigeonholed into a ball-playing midfielder who is no longer very effective without the ball. Granted, he can play both advanced and deep, but only about 3 years ago, I thought he would be more well-rounded midfielder by now. I was wrong.
True he started off as a DM at Jeju, he was never that impressive until he became a more attacking midfielder. He was never well-suited as a defensive midfielder.
well, now it is more or less done. 22 mil euro for KDB .... http://www.waz-online.de/Wolfsburg/WAZ-Sport/VfL-Wolfsburg/Fuer-22-Millionen-De-Bruyne-kommt and Diego is expected to sign a pre-contract with Santos http://www.waz-online.de/Wolfsburg/WAZ-Sport/VfL-Wolfsburg/Diego-Im-Sand-denkt-er-an-Santos
I wonder if Hecking + Allofs are tired of answering about Koo. Perhaps recycled as I believe that Wolfsburg just arrived in China but timestamp is today :S http://www.braunschweiger-zeitung.d...muessen-um-ihre-plaetze-bangen-id1301052.html
bah, paid content.. http://www.waz-online.de/Wolfsburg/WAZ-Sport/VfL-Wolfsburg/Warum-Koo-auf-De-Bruyne-wartet
Its a hits per month thing. There are a bunch of sites which have the same content (easiest being I think the Wolfsburg nach something or other) work around the limit

Didn't appear to go in based on Wolfsburg's very intermittent tweets. I imagine its when and not if Koo goes to Mainz when considering Ji move. Unfortunately, I think they're in china for a few more days so not immediate. EDIT: They fly back Friday (I'm unclear on which time zone) so hopefully we get some good news this weekend.
