That's not so bad, is it? I appreciate a thread without drama and pages of 'why hasn't he jumped full-time to B?' Let him finish out the season on Juvenil A and hopefully he jumps full-time to Barca B next season.
Just wait... pretty soon this thread will be consumed with debates of ARod and steroids, too. If there’s one thing I’ve noticed, it’s that no thread is immune to straying off-topic. For now, let’s just enjoy the Konrad-centered conversation, quiet as it may be.

Despite the defeat, he was one of the most outstanding players of the match.
The right winger of Barcelona B Carles Pérez suffered an injury of almost 2 months of recovery, this would be a great opportunity for Konrad to have minutes with the second team or at least win some calls. I am not confirming that this is so, but it seems an excellent possibility for him.
Started and played 90 with the Juvenil A squad in a 4 - 0 thumping of Mallorca. The juveniles play Hertha tomorrow in the UEFA Youth League.

30 secs after a tune in he dribbles past opponent to endline whips in a good cross thats knocked down to another barca attacker who scores.
I just want to see Dest, Konrad, and Llanez on the same field together. We'll be electric with the ball.
I repped you because it's true, but in general we need to get away from the idea that "reminds" means "is exactly the same as in every way". It really stifles discussion of player styles.
There are other ways to be reminded. Would be good if derek750 would clarify how. Comparing players is not equating players (except maybe on YA).
I think it was primarily his ability on the ball in small spaces. But this video was the first time the thought had ever occurred to me. That's really why I phrased it as a question...was curious to see if anyone else had the same impression or if it was primarily the bourbon talking. I actually feel like @butters59 differentiated between the players in a constructive way. It wasn't the typical, dismissive reply based solely on the overall quality or relative accomplishments of the players.
Profile that explains why he was able to go to Spain: He was born in Florida to Haitian parents and moved to Madrid at the age of 10 when his father took a job working for the Haitian embassy in Spain. There he began to blossom as a player and his break came when he was playing for CF Damm in Barcelona. CF Damm is a club that specializes in youth development and with its strong academy, it helps its players progress to the professional ranks with other clubs. It was not long at CF Damm when de la Fuente stood out and was quickly brought into La Masia. “I was playing at a local club in Barcelona first, La Damm, and FC Barcelona has scouts all over,” de la Fuente recalled. “I caught the eye of one of them and from there they just called me.” (“For now, I am only an American citizen” he explained. When asked if he had ever been approached by Haiti’s soccer federation, he quickly said “not that I know about”). http://www.americansoccernow.com/ar...e-enjoying-break-out-camp-eyes-u-20-world-cup
