I feel like every young American player has seen the men's side fail, and been motivated by it.

Parents have to do a lot with it whether you "feel" American or whatever nationality your parents are from. It all depends on how they were thought. But if he is good as he seems let's just hope he does feel some kind of pride of being an American.

His next major step is progressing from Juvenil B to Juvenil A where he will be competing with the top 17 - 18yo in the club. He's certainly on track.

From there if he impresses in Division de Honor, Spains top U19 division, progessing to Barca B becomes a real possibility and he will also be on the radar of many smaller Spanish clubs.

    thanks for explaining the divisions.

    Barcelona
    Barcelona B
    Division de Honor / U19
    Juvenil A
    Juvenil B

so hes 16 years old and on J.B. team
so, the next 3 years on J.B then J.A then U19,
and we'll know by then if he can continue up to Barca or be loaned/sold to another team.

He can obviously work his way up quicker than 3 years on JB

I worded that poorly, Division de Honor is the U19 league competition that Barca Juvenil A play in.

Konrad and Juvenil B play in Liga Nacional which is the U19 competition that feeds into Division de Honor via promotion/relegation.

A club can't field two teams in any competition, so even if Juvenil B remain in first place and win their Liga Nacional group like they did last season, they aren't eligible for promotion.

Konrad will almost certainly progress to Juvenil A next season a long with the other top 2001's on his team.

2000's currently on Juvenil B like Ben Lederman will likely have reached the end of their FCB careers as their on track peers are already playing with Juvenil A.

If/when Konrad reaches Juvenil A it's on. He'll have two seasons at 17 and 18yo to earn a professional contract at FC Barcelona or elsewhere.

    ok, correction below

    Barcelona
    Barcelona B
Division de Honor / U19 aka Juvenil A
    Liga Nacional / Juvenil B

so hes 16 years old and on J.B. team
so, the next 3 years JB / JA
and we'll know by then if he can continue up to Barca or be loaned/sold to another team.

    ....
where does Barcelona B play ?
    2nd division in LaLiga?
do players go there and eventually get a chance at the main squad?
or is it a temporary holder team, to loan/sell quality players out, but not Barca main team quality guys.

Yes, they play in the Segunda Division, otherwise known as La Liga 2.

is anyone familiar enough with Barca's development patterns to know if eventual first team players usually play on every team in the chain? Or do they skip levels frequently?

I'm no Barcelona genius, but first team guys Deulofeu, Denis Suarez, Rafinha, and Sergi Roberto, and Sergi Samper have all put lots of time into Barca B, and currently a lot of really good talents play full time there, like Carles Alena (I highly advise looking him up if you haven't watched him play before).

EDIT: I'll add that Abel Ruiz, Spain's '00 striker from the u17 world cup, moved up to Barca B this year and has played 340 minutes.

I am going to assume you are correct based on what club he is at and his production but I really haven’t seen enough of him to judge.

Is he pacy? A slasher? How is his vision? Who has seen enough to give a scouting report

Very limited viewing but from what I have seen, his dynamism with the ball in and around the penalty area is what really sticks out.

He makes shit happen and makes it look good.

Didn't score but based off of the highlights he could've had anywhere from 2-4 assists.

They claimed he scored in the match report, but I didn't see it in the highlights.
