🎥 [HIGHLIGHTS] 👍 ¡Buenos días! Empieza el domingo viendo los goles de la victoria del Juvenil B contra el Europa (5-1).#FCBMasia pic.twitter.com/BqzfbqSZKD— FC Barcelona - Masia (@FCBmasia) October 22, 2017 Highlights of the goals. Konrad is a pretty special player.
Damn, he either scored or created 4 of the 5 goals. Why this kid couldn't get a look with the U-17s, I don't understand.
It's always difficult to make that judgment, especially if you're using a small sample size. What I will say, I've seen a decent amount of this kid, and he is a stud prospect.
No. (I was going to be snarky and leave it at that - but that's not fair). I don't mean to denigrate Konrad in the slightest by that. I have to always go back to Jurgen Klopp's assessment of Pulisic at 16. He said Christian had a Balon D'Or quality about him. I don't think Konrad has turned as many heads yet but he is in an obviously great environment and could well have a very high ceiling.
I’m not able to go back through the thread ATM, but do we know what Konrad’s coaches have said about him? @Eighteen Alpha?
I haven't read anything from coaches but he is frequently featured in all- Masia teams like goal of the week, TOW, etc., so I get the feeling he is well regarded in the Academy.
I haven't spent too much effort googling it, but any word on how Konrad did with the u18s vs. Belgium and Russia in the most recent camp? Konrad seems perfectly set-up to be the next Rossi or Subotic, minus the coaching feuds... based on what we know, his parents were both naturalized citizens, and he moved to Spain so early in life that I can't imagine him "feeling" American. It would be a shame to lose him, but if Spain came knocking, I can't image it'd be easy to turn them down... Basically: did the coaching staff not want him at the u17 World Cup, did Barca decline to release him for it, or is he avoiding a provisional cap-tie by declining to participate in competitive tournaments?
He moved to Spain when he was around 10, I believe. So he's spent more time in the US than in Spain and has exclusively played for USYNT up to this point. As long as we continually call him in and give him opportunities, I think he'll stay ours.
Follow his instagram, and ask yourself if it looks like he's anything but a US/Barca dude....I wouldn't worry about it. https://www.instagram.com/konradjr7/
Ah, that's my problem. I was under the impression that he had moved to Spain when he was 4 or 5, which tends to be before many solid memories are formed and definitely before a kid starts to have a real sense of identity. Thanks for the info!
Starts. Wearing number 7 today. Has worn 11 quite a bit this season. Probably doesn't mean anything. But yeah. 🔵🔴 XI Juvenil B:1 Juanma2 Adrià3 Alejandro4 Rojas5 Bravo6 Guille7 Konrad8 De Vega9 Pablo Moreno10 Antonio Jesús11 Pau#FCBMasia— FC Barcelona - Masia (@FCBmasia) October 29, 2017

Wound as a 1 - 1 draw. De Vega scored the goal. With this result, the second in as many weeks, Barça falls out of the top spot for the first time this year.
