There is a great list of Canucks Abroad list in the Canada section. Is there anyone with a Kiwi's Abroad list? Or can we make one?
This is the best list I know of: http://www.ultimatenzsoccer.com/NZRepSoccer/id817.htm Not sure how comprehensive it is though, and it's not totally up to date.
I have 2 new ones to add to the list if it gets started. Two U-20 players committed to play at UC Santa Barbara (US university) starting in August. http://ucsbgauchos.cstv.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/051607aab.html
The List This what I have so far. I still miss most of the Australia-based players from provincial leagues. And the list of American college players is not all up-to-date. And then I still missed the current whereabouts of these players: Andrew Aris (left Rot-Weiss Erfurt winter 2007), Darren Young (left Waterford or Limerick), Jarrod Smith (waived by Toronto FC), Mario Hofmann (left Kyoto Purple Sanga) and Danny Black (left Albion Rovers). I decided not to include Fallon because he's still unable to play for NZ. I doubt it's ever going to change...
Man I miss Ryan Nelsen! Very fond memories of him. Check out my myspace page, the address is below in my signature here. Theres a pic there of he and I together with him holding MLS Cup. Glad hes doing well for Blackburn though. Vamos United! Go Rovers!
New zealand teenager Cameron Lindsay joins blackburn http://www.goal.com/en-us/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=642126
Looks like you guys may have forgotten about Brent Fisher playing for my local team Bodens BK in Sweden.
Hello. I have an update and an addition, both in the USA. Nathan Knox has been signed by USL D1 team Atlanta Silverbacks: http://www.atlantasilverbacks.com/news/displaynews.php?id=725&cat=1 Andrew Barron signs with USL D1 team Minnesota Thunder: http://www.mnthunder.com/igsbase/ig...=&NewsID=378&NewsCatIDdisplay=&KeywordSearch= Any info on Barron beyond what's in the press release would be greatly appreciated. "Will keep you updated," vows That little old jersey collector Me
You would think that NZ Football might get their act together and post this sort of info on their website as some sort of incentive to young players - showing them that there is some sort of progression from club play in NZ to the bigger football world. Glenn
Thought you guys might like this. The banner made for Duncan Oughton this season. The guy has maybe 45 minutes all year, but it still thoroughly beloved here in Columbus.
I look forward to watching knox play this season for the Silverbacks. I also watched Evans play for FC Midtjylland in its UEFA cup game against Man City. That is just the kind of experience we need other Kiwis to get if we are to compete with the rest of the world IMHO.
Duncan Oughton (right), longest serving Crew player. Been through it all through the years. A true Champion.
I know a player Kayne Vincent he plays for Mumbai Fc in Indian I-League he also played for NZ U21 team

Re: The List A player by the name of Chris James, who most believe is the NZnat by that name, is currently in trainning camp with the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USSF D2.

Signed a two-year deal with Finnish club Tampere United, scoring two goals in the UEFA Champions League against Montenegran and Slovakian oppposition. 2007: James came on as a 63rd minute substitute in the 4-0 loss to Costa Rica in San Jose and has played the full 90 against Venezuela (0-5) and Wales (2-2). Played just once for the All Whites in three World Cup qualifiers in 2007, a starting in a 2-1 away win over Vanuatu. Offerred one-year extension by Fulham but declined, electing to seek first-team football elsewhere. 2006: Chris James proved the find of 2006 for New Zealand Football. The Kiwi-born, England age-group international enjoyed a dream debut for the All Whites when he came on as a substitute against Brazil just days after receiving his international clearance last June. A skilful midfield playmaker, James went on to score from the penalty spot against Uefa Cup holders FC Sevilla before guiding New Zealand to the forthcoming FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup in Canada.
