Looks like he was playing as the only forward. Five mids, 4 defenders.

Sky Sports News might have highlights of this tonight; due to Duncan Ferguson starting another "comeback" from injury in the match.

Sounds very impressive, specially against a very
good Everton reserve team. Some of their players
belong or should belong to the Everton first team.

I'll be happy to see Kirovski starting for the first team soon.

They showed mostly highlights of Ferguson hitting the bar and setting up teamates..

They did however show one of Kirovski's goals.. A nice cut back move to his left foot and a diagonal screamer to the upper 90 from about 12 yards away..

    Good looking goal...

Boy, Americans sure are good at bagging hat tricks in Premier League reserve matches (Eddie Lewis last season)...

The word on the BCFC message boards is that Kirovski started out looking rusty but got better as the game went on. Also he didn't look match-fit and stood around a lot, but more than compensated for it with some very clinical finishing.

Are Jovan and Eddie the two greatest EPL reserve team players of all time?

Kirovski is an amazing reserve player. I remember when he was with Sporting Lisbon, he scored goals by the bucketloads with the reserves -- one time I think he got four or five in one game. You could look it up in the yanks abroad archives (if they worked).

did Jovan Kirovski get stuck on a SI cover or something?? Somewhere along the line he got some very bad luck and its sticking. Maybe McBride, Mathis, Wolf, et al have this Kirovski vodoo doll or something....

He had a 5-goal game and at least two 4-goal games with the Sporting Lisbon reserves, and somehow didn't even get a look in the first team. Not unlike Eddie Lewis scoring 7 goals in 3 games for the Fulham reserves and being totally ignored.

    20 goals in 21 matches.

three goals in an English match - even a reserve one - is pretty cool. Jovan is the man!

When a player scores a lot of goals in reserve matches, but fails to do so in the first team, it is usually one of the following:

    1) Overmatched physically. Usual translation: too slow for the big boys.

    2) Lack of confidence

I don't know which it is with Kirovski.

I think the issue is not that he has failed to score first team goals but he has failed to get 1st team minutes. This changed briefly at CP, where he got meaningfull minutes and scored goals as well as played a key playmaking role but when Bruce moved on, Jovan drifted out of the first team. Jovan now should get 1st team games again at Birmingham and we shall see if he is up to EPL standards. I wish him the best.

It was kind of funny when the sky sports anchors were calling him Joe-Van Kirovski.

Well, if you can score three goals a game like Dutch players, you deserve to have a Dutch name.
