    Somewhat positive for KJS:
Apparently Nagelsmann is using him as a LM in the recent trainings (most probably to improve his offensive abilities). As a counterpart, he used Steven Zuber as LB (also here probably to improve his defensive abilities). Still can't estimate how big Kims role is in his plans.

Kinda weird as I believe the complaint before was that KJS wasn't offensive enough (ergo Ochs). Nagelsmann isn't scared to mess things up a lot and over long run, hopefully that includes a potential role for KJS even if non-traditional.

    KJS doesn't start

To be honest, I'd still prefer if he went to a 2.Bundesliga team on loan or something. Just because I don't expect him to play a lot under Nagelsmann...

Good news is that Hoffenheim playing with 4 in back and scored when KJS came on and attack came from his side. Bad part is that he came on late (and wasn't involved in the goal as far as I could tell... stream broke up)

Good shot by KJS i think (so grainy!) (EDIT confirmed)

And good pace getting back and tackling what would be a counterattack

KJS doesn't start today and given that there's a B team friendly tomorrow morning vs Greek team, he probably won't do much today.

Let's face the truth. He's not gonna play often this season if he stays:

    - rumors about new LB (Traore, Masuaku, Bengtsson)
    - they are playing 3 back which doesn't really suit KJS
    - there were more than one source that told that KJS can go for a good offer
    - midfielders like Zuber or Ochs are being tested ahead of him on his position
    - in direct comparison, Toljan as a Germany U23 player and former Hoffenheim youth player will be preferred (as a bench player anyways as he can also play RB)
    - he had plenty of weeks to impress Nagelsmann but it's still not a better situation than at the beginning

I feel sorry for KJS. I hope he can go to a smaller club like Darmstadt or Ingolstadt or to a second league club and try to get playing time, even if not as a starter.

Don't disagree. And certainly more so after not even being in squad today

not a fan of players running away from tough situation but since he can't seem to convince Nagelsmann, yes.. it is time for him to leave. the problem is... he isn't getting offers unlike Park JH. tricky situation for him... i normally berated his performance in BL but am surprised by complete lack of interest. i think he is talented enough to play in BL.. he certainly has the tenacity & work-rate to go up and down the touchline.

a club like Werder Bremen might be good for him. they are in need of fullbacks & he can hang out with other Koreans in the area.

Still amazing that he got kicked out into outerspace. It would be one thing if Ochs/Toljan were oozing quality.

and really you'd think at least to raise his profile for sale.

It's true that they need another fullback, but they're primarily looking for a RB. And for the LB spot they only want a player if Santi Garcia leaves and it'll be an experienced one, not another young LB as they have U.Garcia, Guwara and Sternberg already. I don't think Kim is regarded as an experienced player yet. They won't be interested in him (I'd say chances that PJH goes to Werder is higher).

Park JH will be fine.... I don't believe Korea is in desperate situation at LB.

As for Kim JS, he said he can play RB...... good for Kim JS if he can cover both position.
