My area is only showing Swansea on tv. I'll have to rely on the app for Cardiff and Sunderland.

 

NBC was offering those extra channels for free so it may be cleared up in a week or two. I think its just a matter of finding space for the provider.

No. Swansea is on NBC. Cardiff is on a new set of channels (think MLB Season Pass/NFL sunday ticket) that are free to cable/satellite companies. So the only constraint is your provider to clear bandwidth and for you to find the new channels in your guide. That said, it might not be immediate as it sounds like some of these details were still fuzzy as of a few weeks ago and it may take time for your provider to figure all this out.

 

skim is right. I read up on it and the goal is to have the extra time channels available on major cable/dish carriers by end of 2013.

Comcast is always slow to get on the bandwagon here in Chicago, so my wait appears likely to continue past the start of the season.
