I didn't do this last season, but suffice it to say that Vodka United/Emperor Norton was at the top of every list, and for all of the season (IIRC correctly, he won the Pro league wire to wire). Yikes. In my hastily selection on Friday to get in on time, I didn't do enough research to know that Wetklo isn't starting for Mainz. My GK position is screwed.
GK is pretty much an automatic 3 or 4 points per week, so I feel for you. You can get a new GK at the Winterpause, but obviously that doesn't help you now. To avoid this issue, what I do is I purchase all the GK's on one team, on the theory that if #1 isn't starting, then #2 is. I had the Mainz GK's a couple season ago, and I think all three of them saw decent chunks of time. The only problem with this approach is if the team brings in a new starting GK just before the close of the summer transfer period, in which case, you are well and truly screwed.
I think I'll sell Neuer for a good offer. But, on the other hand, it's weekly fun for me to bench him.
