At this point I don't expect beautiful football from Swansea. Getting points is more important.

what do you guys think Ki should do if Swansea gets relegated?

I hope they secure their premiership though.

He should consider a Celtic return imo instead of joining another low table EPL club without perspective. For other leagues I doubt there'd be any serious interests unless he shines at the WC.

relegation doesn't really matter as his contract will be up.

I think health and proximity to korea will be a major factor in his move even if he has concrete interest from PL sides where I'd rather him be.

I'm not saying this will happen, and I'm definitely not saying I want this...

but I can see an MLS team shell out money for Ki.

I'd love to see him play in Germany or Spain for a top-ish club.

Honestly after the WC as much as I would love to see Ki prove he has something left in Europe's big leagues, I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to cash out in China. I think he'll still be a central part of our team in Qatar 2022 when he'll be 33, so I do hope he doesn't.

His father probably would support a China move.

Ki's a Gwangju boy and like 10August said, has too much "pride" in a sense to go to China.

I don't see him back in the K-League next year, but it will either be in England, some other top European league, or even perhaps MLS. Going back to Celtic is a darkhorse option but he's had mixed reviews there and SPL does not fit his style.

The point I was making with that is people from Gwangju will tend to be more anti-foreign, especially countries like Japan/China. I'm not saying he's a racist, and I'm not trying to generalize an entire Gwangju population, but that nationalism is pretty strong there.

My reasoning is that he has a celebrity wife that needs to be close to Korea and a little kid too. And with the celebrity wife comes the celebrity lifestyle which is not kind on the wallet. Out of our current KNT stars he'd be the least surprising if he moved to China.

The thing about China is that they don't need Asians anymore. The Chances have decreased compared to 1-2 years ago.

but with Ki's quality, i'm sure he wont have difficulty finding PT and getting paid too

of course. What I meant was they are not forced to sign Asians anymore.

Well they were never forced to sign AFC players, but I think what you're trying to point out is that that the new foreign player quota (3+1 squad, 3 Matchday Squad) infers that South American, European, and African players will get PT priority over AFC players.
